I'm sure that idiot (and former comedian) Dean Blandino will humor us with his explanation. And I am sure it will make absolutely no sense and leave everyone scratching their heads and being even more confused.

Why? Because the answer is that no one really knows what a catch is right now. They are just making it up as they go. Every time they try to define it now, they (the NFL) has to make sure it passes the Dez test. Whatever rule going forward must make sure that it cannot allow for the Dez catch against GB to stand. Because that would be an admission of how they screwed up.

how do you feel about mike pereira?

and why wasn't that a fumble? it looked like he clearly gained possession of the ball. what am i missing?

It looked to me like the ball was shifting throughout the catch process, and therefore I guess didn't officially have solid possession by the time the hit came.

He was bobbling the ball the whole way, IIRC. I didn't think he had control.

Agreed.

I am telling you without any doubt, Beckham was concussed. First he couldn't get up off the ground and then he had wet noddles for legs. In the coaches film it doesn't even look like Beckham is going to make it off the field.

He is nothing more than a shill for the NFL. They give him a script on what to say and he'll say it. Its his job. He is there to fulfill a narrative thats all. Thus there is no integrity and honesty in this league.

From a NY Post article:

Did Giants let Odell Beckham play with a concussion?

Beckham was leveled by Cowboys safety J.J. Wilcox on a throw over the middle with 2:42 left in the first quarter of the Giants’ 27-26 loss, held his arms out in disoriented fashion and then stumbled groggily to the Giants’ bench.

This NY Post Piece said:
The 22-year-old had only played 12 career games, but had proven to be capable of just about anything, including outdoing last year’s unforgettable one-handed touchdown catch against Dallas, which vaulted him to superstardom.

So, what is it about Commish, player safety or protecting your good ol' boy network?

JJ Wilcox... KEep developing man.

He's had a lot of haters on this forum but I've said to be patient..

3rd year guy who showed flashes last year.. I expect him to be a little more then average a month from now.

I think we all expect him to be a little more than average, right now. You can chalk me up as a "hater" if you want. He's had good games before. What he needs is consistency and he needs to prove he can take the right angles in the passing game. Sunday night he looked good in limited chances. We'll see how he does against the Eagles.

Was thinking the same thing, he probably feels like this

I'm sure he'll just conveniently ignore it.

He should do fine. The Eagles are not going deep that often. 15 yard routes is the deepest its going to be.

Agreed, that's why I said the angles he takes will be important. That was his biggest weakness last year--he took poor angles. The Eagles will kill you if you're out of position.
