Yes, wasted season of talent due to coaching yet again.

If the Cowboys are suiting up and taking the field then its not a lost season. It will be played before our very eyes. My expectations will be super low. But I take the "Expect the worse and hope for the best" mentality. Every teams record in week one next season will be 0-0 just like the Cowboys.

Let me put it this way. I'm not rushing down to Vegas to bet a large sum of money on the Cowboys making the playoffs. If I were to put money on it, I would bet the team ends up at about 7 and 9. On the other hand, no one knows for sure what will happen, so I'm not ruling out a good season. We'll see what happens.

Tony will be healthy after this minor procedure. Ware will bounce back and the draft will bring some young talent to the D-line.
Less injuries than last year with the defense gaining some traction. We have an established RB with a good offenive line. This team was very close to winning the division with more injuries than most teams endure.
There is no reason for me not to be optimistic. Im thinking 11-5.

I can't imagine thinking it would be lost. There is a lot to be optimistic about. We should be even better on defense. Get healthy and add talent to the defense. No reason to believe we won't be better than last season.

Little bit of defense will compensate for bad coaching......needed a good laugh

My first step was canceling Sunday ticket and directv. Did that Friday.

Not giving up my tickets but seeing this group of coaches and front office actually makes me not excited for the next season for the first time since going into the 01 season.

I know you are a real fan so this makes me sad, but it's completely understandable.
I still will hold out hope that those injuries the team sustained the past two years were anomalies and this team can put some things together to make us fans cheer about.
I'm going into next season with realistic expectations, but always with hope.
Theebs- you are unequivocally one of my favorite reads on this board. No lie.
I'm hoping we have many happier conversations about this team next season.

Denial is an ugly thing. lol @ 11-5. We have been 6-10, 8-8,8-8, and 8-8 the last 4 seasons. Most of the vets on this team are either losers or over the hill. We have JG as our head coach who has proven he cannot be successful, we have Kiffin who should have retired a decade ago, and we have no GM at all. I hope you are trolling with the 11-5 prediction. This team will be 6-10 this year IMO.

Yes its already a lost season. Anytime you're not competing for the sb its a lost season. There's nothing they can do in one offseason thats going to make them contenders. Nobody but top 5 nfc teams will dominate and represent the nfc for the next 5 years. Those 5 teams are too good, they want to win and they know how to draft and get decent coaches. Dallas will finish no better than 3rd in the nfce next season. Way to many things need to be fixed. By the time this organization gets the team to where they might be able to compete romo will be gone. Then count on 5 years or so until dallas finds a decent qb.

The 2014 season will be like all the others post-Parcells for me. One where I know without a doubt the Cowboys have no chance to win a title.

This has been a lost couple of decades, for the most part.
