Wow it was more about trusting Romo as a QB than his addition to the Boys D.
So what does that say about Allen's talent if Romo owned him? Kind of a catch 22.
Hope he's a contributor!!

Yeah, I don't think you understand the phrase "Catch-22."

Romo's "owned" quite a few defensive players throughout his career. Regardless of how one feels about Romo, the guy has put up incredible numbers throughout his career and that doesn't happen without playing a lot of great football.

Hmm.. I'll try to keep it simple for you. "Catch 22" meaning - There's no real way to give a winning answer to the questions about Romo. Romo's, "rep to blow the game". Allen's backstroking to overcome the reality of Romo's inconsistent play and questionable NFL reputation.
Underlying message IMO: It's pretty much given that the NFL has little if no respect for Romos play so being his new teammate, I have to provide a positive message for our QBwithout overlooking the obvious (Romo's questionable rep).
No worries, I didn't mean to imply anything negative about your boy. But I guess the truth has to leave you in your daily defensive position. Keep jabbin though.

He has schooled a lot of Dbacks and I like Romo as a person. He's an awesome sandlot QB making alot of something out of nothing but he has to use his head in the bigger moments.

Yeah I do find it interesting how Allen basically said Romo will blow a game. Given Romo is now his QB, I'm thinking Allen somewhat tempered that description to avoid an all-out media firestorm. Unfortunately that's probably the opinion in most NFL locker rooms.

What does it mean? Not much. I just find it interesting to hear/read when active players give honest opinions of other players, coaches or teams outside of the usual mundane locker room talk.

Same here. I'm surprised he said even that much.

That is beyond preposterous.

You may want to listen to what he actually said.

So does the rest of the team.

At times this is true. He clearly tries to do too much at times (because he typically has to carry the team). However, there have been numerous big moments in games throughout his career when he came up beyond big. He uses his head, feet, arm, heart (playing with broken ribs and a punctured lung) in big moments and frequently comes through. All those fourth quarter game-winning drives didn't happen because he wasn't using his head in a big moment.

What an honest and fun interview, I like the guy, hopefully he can help out back there certainly with respect to mentoring our new draft pick come April!

Once again, too much is being read into comments...

There are no QBs who do not occasionally blow games.
