I like Bill and glad he is returning. But, he has to give up on the Bledsoe and Vinny type QB. We need a fresh young QB and stick with him. IE..Palmer.

I think BP thinks that Romo might be that guy. and that Henson guy, he's certainly got all the tools.

and Palmer was the #1 overall pick. we haven't had that luxury for a while.

If you think Romeo and Hensonette are viable options...then yes..

I think no.

Apparantly Romo was being courted by the J-E-T-S for a 3rd round pick...but thats just a rumor I read on this board. If he really is thought of so highly, maybe he might be the future. Henson has the tools.

Truth is, does anyone really know with young QBs..

Young QB's can have all the potential in the world but you don't know how good they will be until you give them the snaps. I think NFLE would be great for both Romo and Henson lets see what they can do in game situations. I know it is not against elite competition but lets see what they can do.

Romo - might push Bledsoe next camp

Romo needs to worry about his Golf Swing and and keeping Baseball boy at bay.

What have you seen that makes you think he could push Drew Bledsoe next Training Camp?

Drew Bledsoe is an above average QB, who clearly has about 2-4 years left, no way Romo could even come close to beating him out....

I am a huge Bledsoe fan and agree.

I think Romo if an injury or Bledsoe setback can step in. I again don't see Bledsoe getting beat out by Henson or Romo.

But think Romo most ready to play if need be.

...on our QB situation has anyone ever consider the missing gap between Payton's reputation for qorking with QBs and the fact that Henson has not progressed beyond third stringer.

Could it possibly be that Henson may be farther behind than many fans have thought and Payton doesn't have enough to work with to get him ready for the starting role?

Henson's failure to rise is not only a comment on his ability, but also on Payton's qbility to get a QB to progress and Jerry's talent evaluation.

Didn't we have young QBs when we went 5-11 three seasons in a row? What's so great about a young QB?

You mean ex-baseball players and a drug addict? Why don't you take a look around the league if you want to see what a good young QB can do for a franchise. You can start with most of the teams in the playoffs, sans Commanders.

I think when Bill leaves, he'll leave us with a prepared Henson or Romo

so there's no comment about Henson being only in his 2nd year in the NFL after being gone for 3 years, and only playing 19 or so games in college?

Carson's little brother Jordan is a junior at UTEP, and as an ex-Miner I've been following his career... he looks like a good one, perhaps the Boys could go after him next year??

Or if Vince Young DOES enter this draft (I hope he doesn't), then mebbe the Boys could package Greg Ellis, La'Roi Glover and this year's first to move up high enough to draft him... :D

I think we wait and see how Henson plays in NFLE before using a high draft pick on a QB. Maybe in 2007.
