this was the first that I have heard of this. If this was already posted, I apologize.

Romo will be much better if he can just drop back and find his open progression instead of having to worry about TO's mindset.

Oh no, that's right ... I fugget. Romo was injured. So that hurt TO's production.

The reason why I am posting this is because 1) its the offseason and its slow and 2) it is a bit of an update in the sense that the writer mentioned that of the people he spoke with, they believe owens will not be around. I get the feeling im going to get hammered for this post - but I promise im just trying to help the board.
1. Will the Cowboys dump Terrell Owens?
For a story about T.O., this one is surprisingly slipping under the radar. Most plugged-in minds I spoke with in Tampa believe that Owens will be jettisoned before next season. Giving up on big-name talent goes against Jerry Jones' nature, especially with a new stadium opening, but the Dallas collapse in '08 has repercussions on the way.
The prevailing logic is that both Owens and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett cannot return together. Garrett never landed the head coaching job he was seeking, and something looks ready to give in Dallas. Perhaps Roy Williams will take over Owens' position sooner than we imagined.

Go ahead and try and figure out Romo's stats without TO. Dont exaggerate too much about Witten. Witten benefits form TO being on the field.
Romo doesnt even sniff a $67 million contract if TO isnt there.

dbair1967;2618431 said:improving team chemistry IS a logical reason to cut him
it also sends a huge message to a number of other underachievers

newlander;2619255 said:Besides the fact he's the biggest cancer to ever play the position, he runs sloppy, lazy routes. The pattern against Pitt where he stopped the out route and just STOOD THERE ADMIRING Palamalou's INT is a great example. F' T.O.

YoMick;2619887 said:Lets see. TO's best year was 2007. And lookie that... Witten's best season(96 catches, 7 TDs, 1145 yards) was opposite Owens best season in 2007.
When they were on the same team.
Together.
Both of them.
White/Chocolate.
BOTH Owens and Witten's numbers were affected in 2008 by Romo's absence.
When Romo, Witten and Owens are on the field. TO and Witten are good for 1,100 yards each. 6-7 TD's for Witt and 12-14 TD's for TO.
