When others start stepping up to consistently prove they can do, like Butler did last night, Ware's numbers will come because they won't be able to double and triple him anymore. Right now he's rarely seeing a one on one and when he does it's a huge mistake by the opposing team.

He was very close, from what I saw last night, to recording 2 or 3 sacks.

I think Ware will get his deal his so called poor play in my view has more to do with offenses doubling him and have the back of TE chipping him at the line. Dallas needs Spencer to make teams pay for game planning Ware.

From what i've seen, even when he hasn't been doubled he has been getting handled quite a bit. Don't get me wrong, he did have a couple plays last night where he was close to getting to delhomme, but most of the time he was a non factor. Even when they switched sides, and he was working against that otah guy, he didn't get any push or get around him with a speed rush....... but victor butler sure did!!!!

Yes. Freeney had a 5 sack season a couple season ago before his deal. Ware is a beast. He'll get it going.

The tape never lies: just watch the game: he's not only being handled one on one: last night Gross locked him DOWN, but he's not active in making other plays all over the field like he use to either. The guy is playing hurt: no doubt in my mind. But they don't always take that into account when conract time rolls around...........

I'm not sure why you think he's been playing poorly but I'm sure that he will get that mega deal. He has earned it and he deserves it. He is the best player on this team without a doubt.

There is something wrong, no doubt. Yes, he's getting double teamed, but he's not winning his one on one match ups consistently like he did before. He definitely does not have his usual lighting first step, nor does he have his speed or balance about him.

It's one of three things.

1. He is hurt.
2. He put on some weight this offseason. That might be contributing to it.
3. His contract issues. (And I doubt something like that would get to DeMarcus, but it is possible.)
