He cried when he was drafted here. I think he wants to be a cowboy for life

True.

Hence his "passionate" outburst.

Like TO... He was right for doing it.

Neither TO or Dez are rocket scientists but the both saw/see that this "team" ain't got it.... And it bothered/bothers them.

Call it "the truth" on display.

As much as I can't stand and couldn't stand Owens on this team.. I do agree that his little outbursts during game time were nothing but anger and passion for the game going on , and the lack of passion this Dallas team has lacked for years, and years.

We took a chance on Dez when there were character concerns (however overblown) and have been in his corner through some minor growing pains and continual media inquisition. I think that he appreciates that and will definitely prefer to stay in Dallas.

I wouldn't blame him if he didn't. Especially if an actual Top 5 of 10 team come knocking on his door.

I hope he does. He is a serious talent and I like the attitude of the young man, ESPECIALLY ON THE FIELD AND ON THE SIDELINES on GAMEDAY.

He'll not resign with us.

Who could blame him. Romo does not even look his way on most passing down.

In my best godfather voice.....they'll "make him an offer he can't refuse."

Jerry's loaded.

If we resign him midseason next year he will stay. But if we wait until free agency and a team like the patriots offers him a deal I could see him leaving.

Are you kidding? Jerry will back up the Brinks truck for him. Jerry loves (over)paying his own players. Especially pet projects like Dez.

Is anyone else in here worried that if we keep up this level of mediocrity that Dez may not even want a contract extension here? I mean the guy is a top 5 talent at WR in the league and is going to obviously lock himself up foreseeably for the rest of his career wherever he goes next. I hope to God its here. But as a competitor, i sure as heck would never sign for a team with no direction to end my career in and waste my talent at. Thoughts?

Of couse he will. His twitter handle says Cowboy for life.

Dez is not going anywhere. He actually takes pride in wearing the Star and Jerry will set him up for life.

I would do it sooner rather then later, the better this guy plays, and it seems like hes only getting better this year, the more money he is going to command. Is this not his last year on his rookie contract?

Do you think Dez's agent has a GED or something? Dez is going to get paid big time and he's definitely not leaving Dallas. I mean, let's be honest, there is a reason we're sitting here wanting to sign him early for "cheap". Jerry isn't an idiot and his agent isn't stupid. Dez is prime time and it's obvious. No way he ever leaves Dallas though. For one, he played for Lufkin and loves the Cowboys. Even if he doesn't want to be here (which is unlikely) Jerry will slap a franchise tag on him; which brings us full circle to his agent not being an idiot. You take long term money over a 1 year franchise and unlike Spencer the offer will be there.

I think he will but money talks.

People forget allegiances very quickly when you are tossing out millions of dollars.
