Will Dez even want to re-sign for us?

Everyone keeps bringing up Dez crying when he got drafted here. Part of it may have been that it was dallas that drafted him, but i personally think the biggest part of it was that after the nonsense with deion he didnt even think he was going to get drafted in the first round. Say what you want. Dez wants to win. With JG as coach it aint going to happen here. Ive lost all faith in the red headed gen,,,,,idiot.

We took a chance on Dez when there were character concerns (however overblown) and have been in his corner through some minor growing pains and continual media inquisition. I think that he appreciates that and will definitely prefer to stay in Dallas.
They stuck with him because he's an immortal. If he were trash, he would've been introduced to the exit sign at the back of the building. So frankly, he owes us nothing. Had we let him go, Denver or San Fran would be on a one way high way to the Super Bowl after they scrapped him up.

I would NOT sign with this franchise if I were Dez. This franchise is nothing but a fictitious idea of greatness. And if his agent has any brains, he would see that and go after a winner. Dez has a chance to rewrite history and do great things with a head coach who knows how to use him, a quarterback who knows how to go to him, and a franchise who knows how to win.

My sentiments exactly.

Are you kidding? Jerry will back up the Brinks truck for him. Jerry loves (over)paying his own players. Especially pet projects like Dez.

Yep. He'll get Calvin Johnson money, which will just cripple this team against the cap for another few years...

He can go to any of the Florida teams with no tax. Seattle. Texans.

I'm not saying he won't resign but he does have options. We'll see.

You really see him signing with JAX? Don't think as competitive as Bryant is he'll willingly end up in that cesspool of stinkiness.

If I were Dez I would definitely think long and hard if things do not change...

Same here...we don't deserve him at this point.

The "lets keep calm, there is always next game or 10+ seconds left in the game" attitude can get a little overwhelming. You want to be surrounded with guys who will show even a hint of frustration when things start going south

For once we agree.

Dez will be a Cowboy for as long as he's in the league. Dez only knows Texas, he's comfortable here and loves being a Cowboy. I just think he was born to play for this team and I think he believes that as well.

My gut feeling with Dez is he's absolutely determined to be the guy who rights this franchise in winning ways. I bet he seethes when Cowboys fans, the team, are mocked for choking and losing. It's why what went down on Sunday went down IMO.

Dez is hip to the game and knows the score for everyone involved. He's done playing games. He wants to win, but he wants to win HERE.

well maybe Mo want to be a cowboy for life too. im not sure if fans want that though.

I like Claiborne's talent too much to give up on him...think he will take a little longer than some corners to get the nuances of the position but the payoff will be an above average CB for 10+ years.

So the QB "hardly looks for him" and we treat him like a "secondary receiver" but he's 6th in the NFL in targets?

Recency bias runs amok.

What about the six targets in the fourth quarter?
