Will Dez take a pay cut? "Hell no"

So Dez standing around looking at the game, not moving at all tells you Dez is fine? And Dez dropping a ball that 99% of the receivers would have caught is on the QB? And Dez fumbling the ball after crying like a baby on the sideline is the QBs fault? Not to mention the other dropped passes, some leading to interceptions in other games is the QBs fault? I like the world you live in, too bad it's a fantasy world.

So did you want him take his defender across the middle of the field to mess up Wittens route. Where exactly did you want him to go and what was the time frame you wanted him to do that? The whole play is up for review. Dak looked right, quickly passed over Witten in the middle and unexplicably threw the ball up for grabs.

Have you even seen the play? No one was open, and Dez was just standing there. He stood there for like 3 seconds. What receiver you know does this?

The play where Dak threw the pick 6 over Zekes head right. The play where Dez accounted for 3 defenders right. The deep safety, the inside guy and the guy right over the top........

Dez won't take a paycut so you'll have to cut him. Every time you throw Dez's way, you're seriously risking an interception. The Seattle game, all three turnovers were directly in the area of Dez.

Romo never had an issue

Dez stands there and does nothing. ( in my opinion) Dak was trying to throw it away, bad play by Dak, but Dez does nothing to help his young QB, nothing.

Dez can start by not fumbling the ball after he demands it. if he thinks he shouldn't take a pay cut.

Dez Bryant doesn't buy the notion that he's lost a step, and even if he secretly does, it won't lead to him accepting a pay cut from the Dallas Cowboys this offseason.

"I haven't heard no talks of that, but if it comes ... I don't know, probably not," the receiver told Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News, before cementing his stance: "Hell, no. I believe in me, yeah."

Bryant, who turned 29 in November, hasn't looked like his old self this year, instead struggling to get separation from defenders. However, he attributed his declining production to the Cowboys' offensive scheme, a case of tendinitis that bothered him down the stretch of the season, and mental struggles.

"I'm not going to sit here and act like nothing has been wrong because it has," Bryant said. "Football is my life. I accept my role 100 percent but I know who I am and I know exactly what I can do.

"I know if my mind is not cluttered I can beat whoever and whenever and anybody at any time," he added. "Sometimes I let some things get to me that I shouldn't. Watch the tape. I feel like at times I look damn good and then I get to thinking about certain things and it bothers me."
I want Dez gone. But why would he take a pay cut? Rather get cut take whatever money is owed and then sign another contract elsewhere

Realistically though, put yourself in Dez's shoes.. Keep in mind, I am in no way a Dez apologist...

Dez was already super frustrated by lack of opportunity. He's not blind, he sees how terrible Dak is, just like us. He feels he gets open, yet Dak continually checks it down to a back or some other short route.

Then Dez watched Dak sail a ball 7 feet over Zeke's head.. Yeah, I'd be frustrated also. I'm definitely not saying it's right, but I understand why he reacted the way he did.

Same for when Zeke pulled up against Denver

Because an even bigger pay cut would be coming if he became a free agent.

Dez is scheduled to make $12m. If we cut him we save $8m a June 1 cut is $12m. Try to trade him but just cut him and move on. He doesn't fit and is a waste of resources.

This really speaks to the biggest problem within the organization, though.

Anybody close with Jerry can literally skip right over Garrett and go straight to the owner. And given how much Jerry likes Dez (he's said he thinks of Dez as a son), Jerry will act on he and Dez's conversation.

I hate Garrett's offense as much as anybody, but he truly is just a puppet who can't manage the clock
