Will Kellen Moore start against New Orleans?

Start him against the Saints. If he stinks it up, Cassel should have a decent grasp on the playbook against the Patriots.

They need to do what every other NFL team does and start a QB that is 6'4"+ with a rocket arm. That can't win. </sarcasm>

Weeden was not the problem. We can't run the ball (second half) which means we can't play defense. Help is on the way.

Well he sure didn't help things much. His pick turned this game around big time. He has shown he can not win you a game. Had chances this game and against Arizona and he failed. It's fine if it's just one game he is replacing Romo. He's here for half the season. We can not win with this style of gameplan over that long of a stretch, especially against quality offenses like we will be facing. Because this defense is atrocious right now.

I would rather just start Cassel and have Weeden back him up.

Moore hasn't attempted a single regular season pass during his career and he's the one you want to help keep the Cowboys afloat until Romo returns? You honestly believe he's less likely to make a mistake? LOL

It doesn't matter who the QB is if the coaches are afraid to go down the field. I can remember only 2 passes that were thrown 10+ yards in the air. Either open it up to keep defenses honest or lose games. Playing not to lose rarely works.

Then why is he on the team? Why was he backing up Weeden?

When does he get a start? When does he get his first regular season debut? If you never want to see him on the field, you might as well have suited Cassel up even with the lack of knowledge with our offense.

Less likely to make mistakes? I don't see Kellen Moore, or really, many other QBs in this league throwing balls straight to DBs. Weeden has a gunslinger mentality, difference being, he only gives you the mistakes that come with gunslingers.

Give me the intelligent QB that has been developing under our OC for a few years now.

He's on the team because Romo got injured which moved Weeden up to the starting position and Moore to the backup position. If the Cowboys felt comfortable with Moore as the backup they wouldn't have traded for Cassel. Once he's up to speed he'll be the backup and Moore will be back on the practice squad. The fact that Moore hasn't attempted a regular season pass would make him more likely to throw one straight to a DB. A QB like Moore could never handle to the pressure of trying to keep the Cowboys afloat...get real!
