I think more than Mcclay, Jerry needs to stop listening to defensive coaches who are asking for scheme specific players. We cant keep jumping from scheme to scheme and hope these players will work out. Look at what San Francisco did when Saleh left, they didnt miss a beat cause they promoted someone who had been working within the same defense.

Prior to this Year...Jerry and his penny pinching son has pretty much ignored putting any money in getting FAs to come into the cowboys to make the team better.

Having a 1k RB on this roster for the price they paid Williams is a feat in itself.

Problem of being cheap all those years in FA is that you are so dependent on the draft and if you miss on a few players it really hurts the team. Mazi hurt. Taco Hurt. Boss man Fat hurt

The past few years they have needed to draft a good RB. But they kept ignoring it.

This year I can say that they took the BPA and position of need with the first three picks. But I think they should have chosen a different RB over blue. They swung for the fences on a player that could be dynamic but he has been too immature. There were more reliable RBs available in the draft at that spot.

Williams probably will slow down some. Sanders has been hurt, Blue has maturity issues.

This is like Osa the last few years. Nobody really next to him on the line or good enough to give me more time to rest so he was out there too much and wore down as the season went on.

Plenty decent RBs available this FA cycle, so Javonte doesn't have to be a priority. The Cowboys weren't urgent enough to find a RB2 after Sanders went down. JW looks like he was running with boots on vs the Lions. RB coach needs to get Abanikanda up to speed asap.
