He can buy a ticket as a member of either team I'm sure.

If Manziel is a hit then this isn't completely impossible lol, .01% chance - if he returns in 09 form and stays healthy for the next 5 years, possibly. The Browns have a elite defense and great line, if Gordon somehow returns next season with his head on and Manziel is a hit then this team could bring a Lombardi to Cleveland, and if Austin is a key part of that he could certainly propel himself into HOF discussion. He's still young.

In other words - in a perfect world maybe, but we don't live in a perfect world.

I know it is all very hypothetical and you were just talking small possibilities, but I don't even think 5 years of 2009 level production get him in. He's about 10,000 yards and 70 touchdowns short of that Marvin Harrison, Tory Holt, Tim Brown, and Isaac Bruce level of fringe Hall of Famer. Maybe he could get there on touchdowns but he lost a ton of volume opportunities these last 3 years.

Miles Davis has a better chance of ending up in the HALL OF FAME than Miles Austin.
Is there a hall of shame for hamstring injuries, then he will be drafted NO. 1.
Shame really when he burst on the scene he was terrific. Remember the Chiefs game when he went for 250 and the punt return agains Seattle. What a terrifc find, a really nice person and the ultimate RKG. I hold him in fond memories and wish him well in Cleveland. If he all of a sudden plays 16 games and catches 100 passes for 1200 yds I will be kinda p.o.ed.

Well as long as we're talking about a fantasy land world then Dallas will have 12 Hall of Famers from their current team after they win the next 4 Superbowls in a row. That fantasy has just as much chance of happening as any one of those things.

Manziel is not going to be the hit people hoped. The kid is going to wind up being crushed by the spotlight that he can't keep himself out of. There is nothing in Miles career to this point to make me think he can even put together 2 years straight of 09 production let alone 5 or more. Which, as noted by someone else, even 5 years of that production will put him barely at the fringe of where a ton of people are at that will be going to the Hall long before anyone will ever call his name. So there's that and the fact that the guy has only stayed completely healthy 1 season in his entire career. Every other year he's dinged up or out for some periods of time with the weakest hamstrings in the history of the NFL. So, no, I don't see him staying healthy.

Now add to that the fact that Gordon is a moron who is most likely not ever going to get his head on straight because morons are generally morons. He clearly doesn't learn from anything and I see no reason to believe that he ever will. If he did, however, then he's going to be the main guy in Cleveland and that fact alone will keep Miles from getting anywhere close to his 2009 numbers, even if he stayed healthy.

Now lets get onto one other thing. You throw elite around way to easily. The Cleveland defense is not elite. The Seahawks are elite. Cleveland isn't Seattle. In fact Cleveland was 9th in the NFL last year in total yards. They were a very good defense but they weren't even the best defense in their own division. That would have been the Bengals defense.

So, no, they're not elite. At all.

Talked to a cashier at the grocery store today who started talking about the Boys with me when he saw my shirt. I quickly realized he didn't know what he was talking about when he told me that Miles was going to have a big year for us this year.

Lemme guess, he also thinks Romo is the problem...

He will be in the HOF (of our hearts). Dats it.

He's no Chuck Howley.

Chuck Howley was a linebacker
Miles is a wide receiver

Here is a factoid that is kinda cool. Chuck Howley was the first Super Bowl MVP on the defensive side of the ball and on the losing team.

Well it was a comparison of stature and not a position comparison. But you went to a fancy college in the Ozarks so I just no that you got it the first time.

Hey, Chuck was on the losing side in that MVP game and he lost again with the HOF comittee.

Why did you mention jetpacks? Anyone should click on the following link whenever the topic of jetpacks is brought up:

I don't expect HOF for Miles. I do wish him the best, I have no hard feelings towards him however not convinced his health issues with his hamstrings are over with. This is something he had been fighting his entire career and I feel Dallas did the right thing in letting him go and moving on with T Williams and the other young WR we have.
