I mean really will they. Every year is the same bulls*it. All offense and no damn pitching. Then they claim to have a good september and hopefully it will carry over to next season. Which it never does. Then I saw in the news that the rangers aren't going to be active in free agency or spend any kind of big bucks. Like thats something to look forward too. If you want to put butts in the seats win games and be good on a consistent basis. If the cowboys have a bad season the local media bashes them and critisizes them. Yet the rangers have a bad season every freaking year and all I ever hear is "oh well maybe next year". I'm sick of it. I want my team to win damn it! It's like a baseball version of the Detroit Lions.

They won't fix their problems immediately by going out and spending big bucks in free agency. They have too many pitching problems to fix in one off season. They need to develop pitching and then keep those pitchers. They have traded away several good young arms over the years. If they can do that, then maybe they can compete for a championship. I just don't see it happening anytime soon.

No. That franchise is horrible. Don't ever get your hopes up on them b/c eventually they will start to lose. They are doomed.

They had players that came in and out. I mean, my friends and I have done an all-time Rangers team and it looks pretty good on paper. Well, the Cowboys' Defense looks good on paper this year too....

That said, Go Josh Hamiliton!

This is a question for HighTechDave.

Maybe he'll visit this thread and provide the answer.

Edit:

I just sent HighTechDave a PM and asked if he'd consider asking his insightful friend.

nope never.

The low attendance may force some changes but they just dont have competent people in the organization, starting with the owner.

The owner would rather spend money on the stars.

Save yourself the hassle and pull for someone else. The Texas Rangers will always be something for Cowboy fans to somewhat pay attention to while waiting for training camp to open.

I'm an ex season holder at both arlington Stadium and The Ballpark at whatever

Let us ask the Magic 8 Ball

"will the Texas Rangers win anything?"

so there you have it, we will win "something", like win the battle for:

1. worst ERA
2. worst pitching Trades EVER
3. worst at sucking year after year
4. worst Nachos at any ballpark (peppers are good though)

So when the Rays win one more playoff game the Rangers take their rightful spot at the top of the list... for fewest playoff games won in a franchise's history.

Yet the Stars are Stanley Cup contenders.

I guess it was like Mike Ilitch, the Red Wings owner. The Red Wings were a dynasty while his Tigers stunk up the joint throughout the 90s and early 2000s

No, and baseball is too damn boring to sit and watch in a stadium that damn hot.
