Will Parcells throw the Cowboys under the bus on ESPN?

I don't remember how he treats his former teams. Will he be more critical of the Cowboys? What about Jerry?

Will he take credit if the Cowboys do well?

I can't say for sure whether he will or not, but given that it's BSPN, he'll certainly have every opportunity (and plenty of encouragement!)

I wonder that, too. I bet he's not crazy about some of these players saying negative things about him.

At the very least, I think we're going to get his real thoughts on some of our players. It'll be interesting, for sure.

I think you will see a bit of both sides from Parcells.

Probably not much throwing us under the bus tho. He has always tried to find a middle ground when talking about his old teams.

The guy does not want to burn any bridges.

I expect him to be direct and no punch puller. Id think that Jerry and he still have a pretty good relationship, though.

The day I really look forward to, though, is when he gives that Parcells' sour faced stare and tells the rest of the ESPN crew, when they rave about T.O., "consider yourselves sucked" .

When they play as well as I expect them to play this season, he will certainly be taking the credit.

I think he will talk about players he likes in a good light and graze over the negatives?

I don't like playing the "what if" game...BUT...what if JuJo blows up and is having a pro-bowl type season and BP starts to take credit for it? It will show one of two things: 1. BP was holding him back and JuJo was running like a robot, or 2. Garrett has brought back the importance of a Smith-like rushing offense and the RB is benefiting.

Either way, I don't think BP can take credit for any success this team has. The offense and defense is going to be different. He might have drafted the players, but if they play better under a different style, that tells me the previous coach didn't use them in the right system.

I think people are way too worried about what each "side" is saying about the other and trying to create emotional controversy where in most cases predictable differences of opinion are really no big deal.

I fully expect the mature players & coaches, which imo is most of those concerned here, will handle this maturely. Mature people can have differences of opinion without it becoming a "throwing them under the bus" scenario.

Very well stated. I couldn't agree more w/ your assessment...

I expect him to take a few shots here and there, I fully expect him to talk badly about T.O. - that is almost a gimme. the rest of the team however I think he will be pretty on the fence about, if they play well he will compliment and if they play badly he will criticize.

I won't pay any attention to what he has to say though so he can say whatever he wants.

Eh... I wouldnt be suprised if Jerry told him "sure go ahead and be controversial" ..... Jerry loves him some extra exposure :laugh2:
