Will Phillips/Jerry will keep Bledsoe?

I have been thinking about this all day because of Wade Phillips history - he's one of those coaches that favors veterans, and he is also familiar with Bledsoe when he was starting in New England and going against Phillips Bills.

Digging deeper - I believe in 1998 back in Buffalo, Phillips went with 36 year old Doug Flutie over Rob Johnson who the Bills spent a 1st and 4th rounder on and also a lot of money. $$$ Wasn't a popular move, but Flutie led Buffalo to the playoffs in 98' and 99' before being benched by owner Ralph Wilson in the now infamous 'music city miracle' game because Rob Johnson lit up Indianapolis the final week of the season in a meaningless game in which Indy rested all their starters because they had clinced a 1st round bye.

We know how Jerry felt about Bledsoe, and there's a reason he hasn't been released yet. And now that Parcells is gone I could see Jerry pulling the trigger and putting Romo back on the bench. You have to figure that deep down Jerry can't stop thinking about Romo fizzling out and finisihing 1-4 down the stretch as well, especially in a year when the NFC was weaker than ever.

Definitely more than meets the eye here.......and I'm not sure at this point I'm against keeping Bledsoe around and giving him the starting job back.

Wade said he is looking forward to working with Tony at QB and he was impressed with him.

Don't get me wrong - I definitely think Romo has more upside given his age and experience level. But I'm not sure his recklass moxie thing will mesh with a guy like Phillips. Bledsoe on the other hand is a seasoned veteran, and Phillips knows the pressure is on to win and deliver this year. Plus the puppet master will be watching closely from the press box/sidelines.

If Bledsoe is on the roster come opening day, Romo will be looking over his shoulders every play.......

Romo will mix well with Jason Garrett. That is the relationship we look at.

I'm amazed anyone would honestly want Bledsoe as starter over Romo. (Other than a few trolls from the past) WOW!

In footage tonite Jerry and Wade walked by Bledsoe's locker as they were touring the locker room. The locker was conspicuous by being completely empty, except for maybe a jock hanging there.

If Jerruh ever tries to get rid of him, Bledsoe will just march his *** out onto the Texas Stadium field and stand there until his feet become stone making him unmovable. The whole process should take about .005 seconds.

yeah even if they wanted him to stay, which I can't see why, he wouldn't. Believe it or not Bledsoe has pride and dignity.

His cap hist is like 6 mil or something obnoxious even if they wanted to keep him they wont.

Worry about an extension for Romo.
