Will Romo run for TD or 1st Down when needed?

"Evasive"? Uh, he looked like a dump truck when trying to be evasive against Seattle. Romo is not mobile at all anymore. Holds on to the ball too long, doesn't throw it away, forced to take sacks because he can't scramble, etc. no thanks.
Tell that to Watt. Or Irvin. or..

lol not sure why you are such a Dak hater? Do you hate seeing your team win a bunch of games and go to the playoffs?

You know they rather have Romo in there throw 3 interceptions in must win games and choke. Same story every year for 10 years. Whats going to change now?

Yeah, no. He is just as evasive as he has been. He's never been a runner. There's a lot more to being evasive than straight line running. But Dak is God and can do no wrong. Obviously, he is the greatest ever and Romo couldn't possibly hope be as good.

You guys are worshipping Alex Smith.
If he leaves, will you promise to go with him and quit the Dallas Cowboys?

lol, these threads get banished to the QB zone with the quickness as soon as Animosity, CowboyRoy or the UFC troll show up. They're the canaries in the coal mine...

Romo can win, and has won. I have no doubts about that. We saw it in 2014, I think we saw it several years prior to that too. My problem is, when he's in the playoffs, he's bad. His brain doesn't seem to work like the regular season brain. I want a guy in there who has ice-water veins and is un-phased by anything around him.

People take this type of thing for granted and they shouldn't.

I think you take for granted that people think you know anything about football. You don't. Romo has played just fine in the playoffs. Not flawless. Certainly not "bad".

No, because I root for Cowboys and want the best for them. You, on the other hand, hate the best thing about them for the last 20 years.

He was the best QB in the post season in 2014. You just continue to prove your foolishness.

Romo has hurt his back before and it didn't hurt his elusiveness in the pocket. What happened in Seattle was a freak injury. He slid awkwardly and had a huge lineman land on top of his back right as he was hitting the ground. You act like every time he gets hit he gets hurt. Romo probably isn't going to be running with the ball much but he's a much better pocket passer than Dak and likely wouldn't need to run for a TD or first down.

Right, because the QB is the only one playing, right? There's no defense and no running backs or even special teams that contribute to a win and a loss.
Tell that to Brady/Roethlisberger/Wilson/Both Mannings/Flacco/Drew Brees and others. Romo can't even make it to the NFC Championship game. Pretty pathetic after 13 years.

Romo has never been a runner. He ran like a 5 second 40. He's clunky to say the least...but he will run to pickup a 1st down. I always think back to 2014 vs the Rams. He wasnt back where he wanted to be throwing and was having a rough game and pulled it down and ran a couple of times. He even juked ogletree once.

He obviously is not the dynamic runner that Dak is.

What you gain with Romo:
Better passing down the field

Better at extending plays in the pocket, making something out of nothing

Better at reading coverages and controlling the offense

Better play action fakes

What you lose:
Running down the field

Read option

Remember that time the Packers had 16 guys on the IR and Aaron Rodger simply couldnt get anything done. They couldnt even make the play... oh.. nevermind, my amnesia was starting to kick in. They actually won the Super Bowl that year. No excuses, nothing.

But I do remember the following year the Packers had absolutely no running game and the worst defense in the league (by far) and the Packers ending up winning 1 ga... oh.. wait.. they went 15-1? Wow. No excuses from Rodgers.

But all excuses for Romo. 10 years, and nada.

Nobody is claiming Tony Romo is Rodgers, unfortunately Rodgers is one of 3 QB's the league has ever seen that when he is on, it doesn't matter what else is going on around him, he's going to win the game.

Are you insinuating that Dak is Rodgers?

You're living in the past. Dak is our QB now. Romo is the backup where he should be.
I'm living in the past by answering a question someone decided should be a thread and a good topic of discussion. I see you have added so much intelligent points to this thread.
I guess if someone believes Romo could lead our team effectively then they are living in the past. What a narrow trollish position to take.

Boy I'm glad I had this enlightenment from you today. Super!

No, you don't gain jack squat with Romo other than experience but Romo is shown over and over he doesn't learn from his mistakes. Dak is leading the team to victory every single week. What more do you want? Dak is our guy now.. Romo needs to be traded for some defensive help on the line.

The best QB doesn't come out with a Loss. What planet are you from?

So then there should be an undefeated team every year, right? The team with the best QB.

Dilfer and Brad Johnson were the best QBs in those respective years.

Brees has been a crap QB the last few years, etc. etc.

Like I said, your foolishness is on full display, yet again.
