The following is from a MSN Article

Giants fall asleep at the wheel -
What we do know is that the New York Giants fell asleep. They laid a complete egg. They embarrassed themselves.

Do you think that the Cowboys will pull a GIANTS???:lmao::lmao2:

I don't think so, but I sure hope a Cowboys player doesn't have the absent minded, lazy reaction that Giants players did to the fumble allowing Roids Matthews to make an easy recovery. Can't give away the ball like that.

Giants didn't fall asleep. Their offense came back to bite them. They tried to get by on scoring 13 points a game and yeah didn't work in their favor this go around.

Exactly the Giants are who we thought they were, a good defensive team that struggled on offense.

You can't give Rodgers that many possessions and expect to come out on top. The Giants had quite a few opportunities to make big plays in the first half and didn't. In the 2nd half, they didn't sustain many drives and turned the ball over twice.

The giants had no offense, and Rodgers was on the field practically the entire second half of that game. Their defense played great all year, but they were just on the field too much in that game to have a chance. The Cowboys have had multiple clock eating drives in almost every game this season, and I expect that to continue in the playoffs. If they can win the T.O.P. battle, there is no reason to think they won't win. Even if they fall behind at some point, the way these guys have played all season, they KNOW they can come from behind and win. So no, win or lose, I don't think this team will "pull a giants".

It is hard to recover from dominating a first half and going into the lockeroom down 1 on a hailmary pass.

Kind of what happenned to us in 2007 against the Giants

they were actually down 14-6 at the half after 'dominating' most of the first half

Yep. Plays like that are killers. That was lack of hustle and lack of situational awareness. You should chance nothing in a situation like that. I can't see anybody on our team not going after that ball.

The Giants were playing a great defensive game for 3 quarters but Rodgers was too much for them. His escape acts/extending plays and precision passing sucked the will right out of them.

EXACTLY. And a lot of mental errors too that game. This team should be ready and focused.

Giants offense sucks. Ours doesn't.
They were on the road. We are at home.

And our d, especially our secondary is healthy for the 1st time all season. Giants lost their #1 cb in the game early, and then he came back clearly not healthy and Giants d wore down 2nd half 'cause their offense couldn't stay on the field. Our offense won't with Zeke gashing the Packs d and they also have to account for Dez this time unlike last.

They were playing solid defense and then lost Cromartie.

Then that lame Hail Mary that gave commentators even more reason to suck up to Rogers should never have been caught was. There was four or five white jerseys in front of the Packer who caught it who all misjudged the distance. It was inexcusable.

To me they went all out on D in the first half and someone came out behind. That demoralized their second half effort and once a bigger hole was in the dam, they just let it all go...

You have a good handle on that game. The lose came in the first half with all the drop passes by the Giants receivers. The second reason was special teams play. The second half was lose due to the offense not attacking with the run and the defense not attacking Roger and the receivers. The Giants defensive secondary in the second half played a soft zone that plays right into Roger's hand. The Green Bay receivers were allowed to get out into the field to run picks, good routes, and come backs to Roger when he is on the move. You have to attack Roger and the receivers or be prepared for a shoot out.

PS
Oh, when your offense owns the TOP shoot outs do not happen. Scoring 4 TDs does not hurt either.

The Cowboys belong in the playoffs.

The Giants and their pop-gun offense did not. Dallas played poorly in the two losses to New York. That's all there is to that.

Simple answer to the thread question: No, Dallas will not pull a Giants against Green Bay.

Jones gets a lot of hate but he would have knocked that down if not caught it
