As often happens, the SuperBowl losers tended to slip into abscurity in the year following a loss in a SuperBowl.

Will the Patriots make the playoffs in 2009?

By some weird twist of fate I believe I read they have the easiest schedule in the league this year.

Playoffs! NE! Home field advantage. Yep they'll be there.

I think they will be a contender and would not be surprised to see them in the AFC Championship game playing for a return to the SB. People may not like them but that team has talent and knows how to win.

What is Brady goes down for the season in the second game?

Are you predicting he gets injured? If Brady gets hurt then that changes everything. As of right now I see the Patriots making the playoffs. They won't go 16-0 again, but they are still a good team.

No, I'm just pointing out that it is VERY common for the SuperBowl loser to not even make the playoffs the following year. Actually, I don't think the Steelers even made the playoffs after their last win.

Tom Brady hasn't suffered any injuries that caused him to miss a game that I know of. Well, unless it was in 2001.

Of course the Pats will make the playoffs. It will be a little harder because of Farve going to the Jets and the emergence of the Bills.

Yes, they will make the playoffs but they won't be 16-0.

Probably more like 12-4 or 13-3 I'd guess.

They'll prolly go 13-3 with that schedule. They got a lot of air taken out of them last year though. Gotta be tough.

Other teams are going to smell blood in the water. Too much is made of their easy schedule. Every team in their division looks to be quite improved, and two of them are capable of beating a Brady-less Patriots twice, and Miami might be able to beat them one game. Throw in a lot of West Coast travel, the Chargers, Colts, and Steelers which are all sure fire losses. Then you've very losable games against Oakland, Denver, Seattle and Arizona.

I think the Cheatriots are in a world of trouble. Praise the Lord.

NO and the world needs to stop acting like he is so great. I mean he is the bomb but not the face of the NFL.
