He is right behind this guy in terms of production.

Now spencer is the only other DE who can probably do something.... ???? Mincey gives good effort but half sec late . Selvie does miss Demarcus Ware on the other side

I learned a long time ago to not get excited about any evaluation that comes out of his mouth.

That animal does not exist in any shape of form on this roster. We knew this to be the case well before training camp. And what's more, Cowboy brass knew it better than any of us.

They are probably pleased Mincey showed more than they expected and disappointed that Selvie has sunk back to mediocreville, but there is no way I can believe that they are surprised with these results.

The 2013 version, as subpar as he was, would be the best on the roster by a wide margin.

The 2014 version is still elite.

We didn't have a pass rushing DE going into the season. It's foolish to think someone is going to step up. The good news is that we have some good players at DT. Mincey plays really hard, but he just isn't that good.

listening to the players and watching the team i think attitude is the least of their problems.
This is a effort team team its not a high talent defense.

That isn't necessarily true. Ware's sack number is inflated due to the number of passing attempts his defense faces giving him more chances for a sack. So while his individual total is respectable, we really don't know if it's due to him performing at a high level or because he has had more opportunities. Someone who follows the Broncos could answer that better than me.

Selvie is worse that mediocre at this point. Even a mediocre DE would have 4-5 sacks at this point.

George has 2 sacks, 3 QB hits and 12 pressures... It's like the Cowboys cloned Hayden and put him at DE. EXCEPT, Selvie can defend vs. the run a little.

I think given his history, he is performing right where most people would expect him to perform when healthy.

Some of you negative nancies are unbelievable with your non-stop sarcasm. I'm not gonna sit here and say that we have a GREAT pass-rush by any means, but i DEFINITELY do believe that this D-Line can at the very least start putting the kind of PRESSURE on opposing QB's like they WERE doing earlier THIS season. Also, the people already giving up on Lawrence are complete jokes and no two ways about it. The kid has played 4 games and while he does have a ways to go in terms of being the pass-rusher we drafted him to be, he isn't exactly a FINISHED PRODUCT by ANY means and I see no reason to just give up on the kid. Oh yeah, he has looked GREAT against the run, something the haters conveniently fail to mention when dissecting his status as the "latest first-round bust".

Is there anyone of defensive line that looks to be a late season improvement? Hope for pressuring QB?

I'd like to see Rolando McClain..

get in as a pass rusher.

He's big, strong and fast.

Plug in Hitchens at MLBEr and play McClain in at pass rushing tackle or end.

This couldn't hurt.

I agree. I think we will see something.

Problem is. Zone leads to a lot of "close but no cigars" for getting to QB.
