It's getting to that time where it's win and you are in, that time where, once in you want to make a run.

Is there anyone of defensive line that looks to be a late season improvement? Hope for pressuring QB?

Its week 15 bro..............if you got no pass rush at this point, it is what it is...........................aint no calvery coming to the rescue.

We didn't have a pass rushing DE going into the season. It's foolish to think someone is going to step up. The good news is that we have some good players at DT. Mincey plays really hard, but he just isn't that good.

Relying on a rookie to provide the majority of your pass rush was just a dumb arse idea from the start...................Ware with one arm and one leg would be the best pass rusher on this team by far.

That contract........

I understand it was a money decision, but from a talent stand point it was a huge mistake to let Ware walk out the door...................we are one of the worst pass rushing teams in the entire league.

Our team leader in sacks...............Melton at DT............5 sacks

If you just count DEs, the same position Ware played..................Mincey leads all DEs with a fantastic 3 sacks..............LMAO

In the entire NFL, there are only 3 teams that have fewer sacks than Dallas (19 sacks overall)............Oakland with 18.................Atlanta and Cinci both with 15

Nobody on the roster. If we're getting pressure, it's coming from inside or on a blitz.

We knew going into the season what the impact was going to be on the DL. And, overall, we've been a much better unit, despite the lack of impact players or the presence of a decent rush-end.

Even Aikman has (somewhat silently) accused Jones of being a sunshine-pumper. Some of the local media might be pretty guilty themselves.

Can't blame the media when this lunatic is feeding them great information like "that Costa, he can play."

now is not the only now this team and fans will have to go through
it was a prudent move to let Ware go

Yeah but remember a few years back when Green Bay won it all. Their defense was not known for really stopping anyone.

THEN... The last few games of year and through play off run the defense just kind of..... Well..... Happened.

If I "Hope" for anything..... It's THAT!!

Agree on first part.

Disagree on second part. Ware, love him, but he was easily taken out of plays. Thrown around last year. There is no Von Miller here.

I still think Lawrence could step up.

I want to believe that, but I would have hoped we would have seen a few more flashes by this point. Again, he has played basically what amounts to an exhibition season and has been injured again since coming off of IR. Not giving up at all, but I think it is difficult to assume that he will suddenly switch on and become half of what we need to generate a real rush.

Blitz McClain up the middle and use a DB off the edge. It's worth a shot and it would force all three interior lineman to take on the 1 & 3 techs and McClain. Maybe the isolation will help our 3T out in having to beat out one blocker vs two.

Blitzing McClain out of this scheme is suicidal without stronger coverage from the middle safeties. Won't happen.

Suicidal is having the LBers keep everything in front of them and watch the opposing QB hit the soft spots. Sending more blitzers will at least move the QB out of his stance and can cause inaccurate passes vs them being set and releasing on the first read.

Didn't we see some flashes already? I remember someone talking about it...

Yeah. First thing I thought of.

It's definitely a 50-50 gamble. Take him out if his strength only to hope he gets there soon enough....Eeesh!

Clearly this is not the 85 Bears this pass rush overall has been poor, however there have been games were we at least had good pressure and they will have to apply pressure on Sanchez. If that means throwing more blitz at Philly then do what you have to do to shake Sanchez up.

At first glance he looks slow off the snap but he has had some snaps where he has gotten off pretty quickly so the ability is there. It looks like sometimes he's thinking too much and that should improve with repetitions. I've watched a couple plays including the Eagles game where he was a tick late for a sack. On several plays in the Eagles game they either double teamed him, chipped him, or bootlegged away from him so they were giving him some respect.

To my point.

Poor to average QBs. We should play man, press at the line. Take away their bread and butter zone. That may give time for our guys "to get there"
