When did zrinkill officially become Hos's personal remora?

I can't remember the last time I saw a post from Hos where it wasn't followed up by one of your "Yeah Hos!" follow up posts.

That's all zrinkill does. Look at his post history..its like 70% defending hos and 30 % trying to "Slay a troll"

Is there a more worthless poster on cowboyszone?

:laugh2:

Oh, and to answer the question, I can actually think of one who is more worthless.

Awww aint that cute ..... all the little trolls are joining up.

Our D is 2nd in the league on 3rd down behind the Ravens.

Are we really missing Carpenter?

There was an article in the newspaper that said we were, so it must be true. Plus I saw Keith Brooking give up a pass once, so our nickel LBs suck.

I'd try to make a deal for Mankins and pay him a lot of the money he wants upfront in this uncapped year, much like they did with Miles Austin's contract.

If the Patriots would take a 3rd rounder, I'd jump on it.

In fact, I'd probably give up a 2nd rounder to have a sure-fire quality starter for the next several years.

Mankins is almost 30 already. What makes you think he won't decline and look just as bad as Leonard Davis after he gets a big payday?

um, that's their football model. They are willing to give up serviceable players who have 1-2 years left in the tank for good draft picks. I do agree with the other posters that recently, their draft picks have been hit or miss, but they are generally happy to let a vet go (i.e. think of the Commanders, and do a 180 on it and you get the patriots).

I know what they're model is. It works. They don't let a player go who will be serviceable for the length of the proposed contract. And they don't overpay. Why would we want to be on the other end of that deal?

Mankins is 28 years old.

Mankins is 28.

Leonard Davis is almost 4 years older than Mankins.

And while Davis gets by on his God-given talents (to this point), Mankins - in my opinion - is a hard-working, self-made player who does it with smarts and hard work.

This BS that the Pats do not make mistakes is just that. They blew it with Seymour(first rd pick notwithstanding since they have not come close to replacing him) and they REALLY screwed up with Mankins. From all accounts this guy is absolutley healthy and a lunch pail type of player. At 28 you sign him for 6 years and that is one position you do not have to worry about for at least four or five years.

Agreed, we are not missing Carpenter, but Brooking is horrible in coverage, no newspaper article needed to confirm that one.

Take SLATE off ignore long enough to see his sig pic. Then put him back on ignore.

Glad to hear Rampage rode his horse to its logical destination, though.

Thanks, that cleared things up. :D
