No.

My "inside sources" tell me that he is a pinko commie and we will not have that on America's team.

if they were going to ithink it would have been done already, it sux because we brought him in and let him get his rehab in, so that he could get greedy and go somewhere else to play..... sellout

No. Jerry has already rewarded a mediocre member of that line. Enough of the one-year wonders and their dash for cash.

i kinda get the feeling we wont

I hope we do--he deserves it, but there are a bunch of good linemen in the draft. And Columbo is far from a sure thing, when it comes to durability

What's your suggestion? The draft for his replacement?

What kind of money will it require? His resume is not that extensive. High pick originally, but injury history.

Depends on the price tag and bonus. Only Jerry knows those numbers right now.

I'd pay him well certainly. He was great last year in his first full year...

the thing i like the most about him though is he plays with that edge about him, something that this team needs

I'd have to agree. What's our fall back plan if he leaves?

Is he worth a Gurode like contract?

No way. Romo's mobility masked a lot of the o-line's deficiencies. Nothing's "fixed." Colombo is adequate, not Erik Williams.

Yet you gotta think...Gurode really was not worth Gurode money if you compare him to some of the other top centers.

People might as well get used to inflated contracts for mediocre players...with the cap money what it is and the weak FA class it is just going to be the norm.

Can't say I like it, but that is what it is going to be.

We are going to see some crazy contracts for a few players this year that do not deserve the money they get.

We will see OGs getting money that is similar or better than Steve Hutchinson even though they are but 1/2 the player he is.

So if we unable re-sign Colombo (remember we don't know what Jerry offering him), that means we have to get a starting RG and a starting RT . Sounds like this is going to be a fun year with 2 new players on the right side, a new OC whose never called plays before, a new head coach (who will be focused on calling the defensive plays) and developing Romo. All of a sudden I'm not feeling too well.
