By winning this way, was it better than if we in a big blow out.
Yes, it is somewhat hindsight.
If we would have blown them out, I think questions would still be out there, some of the same questions from the last few weeks.
It would have shown we are a power, but I don't think some pundits would have agreed.
But by winning this way, it shown several things.
That the coaches from some play calls can make mistakes, but overall Linehan called a good game, it was the execution that was in question. Other than the series Dak threw the pick. Zeke should have been running it there. I am sure they have their reasons, like Philly would have been expecting the run.
But it showed Jason can make those tough calls and tough decisions, and we seen a few trick plays.
It showed the defense though frustrates us at times, can come up with some big stops, and they did this several times when the game was on the line.
Dak, having an off night. and he said Philly had done things they did not see on tape. So he finally fought through it and they made adjustments and figured it out. Then he makes 2 fantastic drives to tie, then win the game.
This speaks volumes of a team never giving up.
David Moore just said on the ticket...the drive that tied the game in a sense was an 153 yard drive. Because 73 yards on the holding penalty on Frederick was wiped out. Then Dak takes them down and scores.
then the OT drive does it again.
So I say this game, winning it like they did is huge. It was a messy sloppy game that they overcame. So plenty of stuff to learn from. They kept fighting, and would not fold.
