I was taught, as a native Texan, as an athlete and as a person, to respect others even when their values or experiences are different than mine. That I can't tell people how to think. Those ideals are far more practical to this argument than some drummed up, sensational war analogies. But please, continue to eschew sound logic so you can feel better about yourself as a fan.

You are so tied into investment on labels. Labels often fail, when seeking remedies and chance. That involves an after action analysis and then routes for resolution. That for a fan, involves much more than doom and gloom. Sorry, my motivations seem to be fuller that what you label them as being.

As to drummed up excuses, stick to the truth and quit playing priority games with a fistful of stereotypes.
