Does anyone think Jerry cuts Pacman after the Joule Hotel incident. I always thought that was the main reason that Jerry got in front of the cameras and made himself look like an idiot after the hotel incident. I know we all think the cut yesterday was a preemptive strike to the ESPN story but I don't believe he was coming back anyways.

Part of the reason he wasnt relased or suspended by the team was due to the draft pick issue with the Titans. Reportedly it had to be league action (ie, suspension) before we could get the draft pick returned.

Its the Titans 5th rd pick.

Had Pac Trash had no issues with the league and stayed on our roster, we'd have also owed them our 6th rd pick this yr.

So essentially we traded our 2008 4th for Pac Trash and the Titans 2009 5th.

Newman is on pace to play 7 games next season. If he keeps the up 16, 13, 10, slide hes on. He's also 30. Just sayin'.

Thats why drafting a guy like Scandrick is a great move, hes going to be a great slot corner with attitude that takes chances. Jenkins however, I'm not quite as high on.

I can see them cutting him, after he was suspended, at that time if Newman had been 100% healthy and ready to go. Well not just Newman but also Henry being less than 100% for much of the second part of the year I can see why they didn't.

If both of them had been healthy, then yeah I could have seen Jerry cutting him shortly after he was suspended by the league and he got his draft pick back.

I don't think that had anything to do with it. If you heard Jerry's shows on the Ticket, it was pretty clear -- at least IMO -- that this was about Jerry's ego and seeing his reclamation project through.

Actually, it was obvious when Jerry defended the guy after the Joule incident and actually blamed his own bodyguard. How lame is that to throw the anonymous bodyguard under the bus?

He even kept defending his punt returning when all the world could see how lousy he'd been at it. And how much he'd help us at corner even though the young guys were doing fine. That told me it was all about Jerry showing the world he could make this work and not what Pacman could do on the field.
