With respect to our defensive performance

last night . . . .

Let's also remember that this was Wade's first "real" game running his version of the 3-4.

It should only improve over the next few weeks. It's going to take the players some time to adjust.

I really expect that once T New and Ellis make it back, we can be very good. The loss of Fergy hurts, but we just have to hope that our rotation can compensate.

If we were paying attention to Eli this last year, we would know that this guy was making quick reads and getting the ball out fast, but his accuracy was not very good.

Well, his accuracy is there now, so this could possibly be trouble for the east. I guess Im' saying that we played a very good QB/Receiver/TE today - and we all know that Henry is slow and Reeves is mediocre at best, Williams is a sitting duck in coverage... We couldn't seem to confuse Manning at all with our combination of blitzes, and if we don't get this fixed, we won't last this year.

Manning threw the ball well. He looks like an improved player, but I'd bet he has few if any games as good as he did last night against our horrid D.

A scrub RB nearly had 100 yds. The same guys who were bad in Parcells' D last year - James, Williams, Spears, Henry - were bad last night.

No scheme in the world is going to make those guys into good players.

Eli started out well last year too and faded down the stretch. Then again, that did correspond to the loss of Toomer. We'll see I guess.

I'm sorry..but Henry was just horrid.

I'd love to hear the excuses for this $25 Million FA bust.

Henry disapointed me- but has been better and should be better from now on. Reeves- He is NOT a starter. Maybe he can still get there- but he is NOT there now. Roy- we need to do what we were supposed to and keep him up. Losing TNew has really messed up that plan.

He's already on there.

OK, then put him at the top of the list, just because he gets all the hype and the whole game I'm thinking when was the last time he made a big play?
Besides getting burned?

Watching last nights game.....
Shift Draft to WR with the first pick then with the second number 1 go DB.

Henry is supposed to be our best DB.

No our Cleveland pick is for the best CB available. Newman will be back and will be 30 next year. Henry is just an average CB and he turns 32. We really need 2 CBs unless Ball (on PS) develops enough during the year to show he could be a legit starting CB.

The D can't play any worse (I don't think) so they could only improve.

Eli Mannings issues throwing the football have always popped up when teams are able to get some pressure on him. That is something that we were not able to do last night.

Dallas D went out and played poorly, no excuses but I do expect we will see much better play as the year goes on. Until then the offense may have to pick up the slack

Yeah, like last year in Philly when they sacked him 8 times and were in his face all day.

He only threw for 371 yards and 3tds then.

If only they got some pressure on him.

The D gets NO RESPECT from last nights lack of performance.
