I wonder if Dallas relaxes on the Spencer deal now? I think Dallas wanted to at least get one of them done to clear some space, but might not feel as much urgency with Spencer now and just let him play out the tag if necessary.

From what I've heard, both marenilli and kidding really like spencer in the scheme. Personally, I'm a bit wary.
However...
I think it's full speed ahead.

Romo's space is not necessary to sign Spencer. Spencer's deal is going to save a ton of cap space

I'd prefer Spencer show it before Dallas shows him the money. The risk in that is that he'll be more expensive to re-sign next year if he has a similar season at DE to what he had at OLB in 2012. But I'd rather risk that than Spencer getting a long-term deal now and not working out well at end.
