While I don't think Henry is a one trick pony you missed the point. Much more can improve this team in different areas and still get a very good back in later rounds. No reason to waste the high draft pick on a RB. Darren McFadden...I repeat Darren McFadden without Romo and Dez and not starting the first 3-4 games of the season ran for 1000 yards. It doesn't take an elite running back to product behind our line.

McFadden limits playcalling. Elliott does not. And McFadden is an injury waiting to happen.

I'm not saying they absolutely should take Elliott, but it's nonsense to say any good back will do.

Guys like Peterson, Lynch, Gurley....they make a big difference. And no, I don't consider Murray in that class.

A guy like Zeke does much more for your team than a safety. I don't care what he says if you study the tape
Ramsey is not even top 20 if you evaluate him as a CB. He is a downhill-run to the line-safety at best.
We have Jones on the team and he's a better athlete who can play the single high position and cover the ground.
Zeke will win us games and give Romo the safety valve he needs to carve up defenses. Zeke all the way and even
at #4.

So if Jalen Ramsey is available you're fine rolling with Church and Wilcox at safety? That in and of itself answers the question of if we take a RB at 4.

I just don't see it but I could be wrong. Kid could be the next AP. If so and we draft him then hallelujah.

Jones will play free safety this year. Church OR Wilcox will play the SS.

Please fellas, stop saying McFadden had 1000 yards, that's pretty much a 800 decrease from the previous season that Murray put up. Question, does Derrick Lassic put up 17000 yards behind Dallas OL of the 90's- Heck no. Do another RB do what Walton Payton did for the Bears- No. Sometimes there is a special back available and Zeke is a special back, if McFadden gets 1000 Zeke get 1600 easy.

They looked a lot better in 2014 when the Cowboys weren't behind by 10 points in every game.

And Ramsey wants no part of playing safety. You realize that, right? And he only had a couple of interceptions in college.

He's much like Roy Williams was. Doesn't have a defined position. Not saying he won't be awesome, but it's not a slam dunk.

I don't understand the rationale here when you can most likely get Ramsey in the first and possibly Derek Henry in the second.

Someone stated above but McFadden got 1000 yards behind this offensive line. There is no reason to take a running back with the fourth pick in the draft

DMac didn't produce TDs and a lot of that yardage was gained during garbage time.

People seem hell bent on trying to copy cat other teams. It hasn't worked here. The last time the Cowboys did things the Cowboy way they went 12-4 and were a serious threat to any team they faced.

If drafting Elliot helps the team get back to the playoffs by providing a dominant running game (which we aren't going to have with McFadden...sorry) I think it is worth it to pick him at 4.

I'll be happy with whoever they pick as long as that player helps the team win games and does so quickly.

The Cowboys were behind 10 points in every game last year? Your assessment about looking better in 2014 is not entirely accurate. In the end, it's the defense that kept the team out of the SB that year. I am not saying Ramsey is the guy but if we want to even sniff at a SB we have repair our D.

Honestly, I don't care who they take out of Ramsey, Bosa and Elliott; I believe all three will be perennial playmakers at their respective positions as long as they remain healthy.

To be honest Tunsil may be the pick.I would like Zeke here in Dallas but lets face it. 4 is too rich for a rb and we undervalued the postion. Also add in the fact Free is getting old and we really don't have a solid starter behind him. I know a lot us talk about the D needs to be fix bit they was pretty darn good last year. If we could just manage some points we would have made the playoffs. We need to do what we did in 2014. Perfect our offensive line, stick to the ground game, run out the clock and rest our D. Our D probably would have been top 10 if it wasn't expose.

Man take Zeke & then bolster the rest of the weak spots with all of those picks we have. Zeke equals a healthy Romo. This is not rocket science. Our QB hopes were dashed so Zeke has to be plan B. & a very worthy plan B at that.

What if you take Elliott at 4 and go defense the rest of the draft?

I loved Michael Irvin as my playmaker WR. If he wants to pick my pro bowl team, I'm even okay with him doing that. I don't want him in my draft room.

Of course comparing the two years, Murray in 14 and McFadden in 15, there's a huge difference in yardage. There was also a huge difference in surrounding talent. Now, I'm not saying McFadden could even come close to 1800 yards, but it's a bit unfair to McFadden to have to play with Cassel/Weeden/Moore and without a star wideout for a good part of the year. I doubt Murray could of hit 1800 yards with that scenario either.

McFadden didn't start till the sixth game of the season, and in those 10 games he started he amassed 960 yards rushing, or 96 yards per game. Not a bad average. Comes out to 1500+ yards rushing, prorated.

Sure, Zeke could be special, and I'm sure he would be a nice addition to the offense. Would not hate the pick if it happens.

Just think addressing the needs on defense would be a better bang for the buck selection. It's not like taking a guy like Bosa or Ramsey would be a reach, they are rated #1 in their respective position.

Elliot is the only one I see taking this team to another level. He is good for 7 points a game IMO. Add just 7 points a game to our games last season. We would've beat seattle , TB, the Giants , Eagles , Saints , bills , jets .

He would average about 28-30 points a game if we draft Elliot , thats going to win a lot of games!
