From the nerve center of analytical football thought and second-guessing at its best -- 50,000 watts of supreme truth and justice for all.

If Bears quarterback Rex Grossman starts poorly in St. Louis, Brian Griese is likely to get the call for the second half.
-- Chicago Tribune

Me? I've been looking forward to giving our secondary a chance to intercept at least two against this inconsistent QB Grossman. Griese, who has been chomping at the bit to prove himself again, would go all out against opponents and protect the ball.

The bears fans have been unmerciful toward Grossman, who is now considered the weak link of the offense.

And make no mistake about it: The cream will rise to the top and the Cowboys and Bears meeting is inevitable.

it's good to have a post about football here. it seems that today we've been sidetracked with player quotes and personal issues.

i would much rather face grossman because of his inaccuracy. with that said i really don't think they can beat us no matter who lines up under center. boys are hot right now and hope we can ride this wave all the way to miami.

AMEN on your first point.

And on your second, I think Dallas matches up better with Greise than Grossman. Grossman takes more shots deep downfield than any QB I've seen in the last 20 years and that has been Dallas' only real defensive weakness all year. It'd be ok if Williams was in deep coverage but sooner or later we'd seen Berrian on Davis. That's a TD waiting to happen.
