Adams practiced today, I guess that's a good sign. On the flip side TG goes out with swelling in the knee. Burnett got waylayed in the head, he's day to day. No major injuries to this point which is a good sign.

Colombo will be back soon, according to the reports. While its not great that he is missing time, its nothing I would be too overly concerned about. Would I worry if, say, Chris Samuels missed time or Jon Jansen for you guys? Not really.


Then why are you so concerned about Stanback? We drafted him to develop. And by all intents and purposes, he is behind Hurd on the depth chart anyway. Him missing time only hurts his chances at developing faster. I doubt he'd have much of an impact anyway this year because he is not going to beat out Crayton.

All that was just a response to a participation comment. DallasEast said that participation is a sign of a good camp, but I just pointed out, you aren't having a great rate of participation.

Ahhhh.....finally to the point where I was wondering if you were going to mention. If Wade's ship is so loose, why did guys like Bradie James, Bobby Carpenter, Demarcus Ware, Roy Williams, Akin Ayodele, Marcus Spears, Canty, etc go above and beyond to lose weight?

I never said that Wade's ship was loose. I said it was in comparison to Parcells, which works for some people. It doesn't work for others. Some guys are best motivated by encouraging, some others by criticism. Just because he runs a different style camp means he runs a better camp.

You're stuck on a percentage of players participating when you could (if you wished) focus on the actual participation of actual players. The overall number of players participating will not make the first week of camp any less successful.

I'm only trying to help you. He's a solid #2 starting wide receiver. His loss would have had a greater impact than that of the starting tackles who are going to return anyway, plus your assertion of the fourth round draftee and Burnett.

Yes, I understand Parcells ran a much tighter, more disciplined camp. Phillips runs a much looser. You are assuming that Phillips has the better way. I'm not assuming anything. If he comes out and leads the cowboys to a hot start, then it works best for the Cowboys. That's fine, but we just don't know yet.

Who knows how well they will play this season? This is about how well the coaches and players will interact in Phillips' training camp. There isn't any reason to believe that an openingly friendly working environment will not have positive results during camp. But keep slinging crap against that wall, okay?

Firehawk has served up comedic gold since he's started here. If we could go back through his homerific Commanders evaluations from last offseason, it would be great. Which is why it's hilarious that he is warning us about tempering our enthusiasm (on our own board) and alerting us to possible crow-eating. That boy's been downing crow for a solid year - or he ducks it, and we just let him slide.
