Wade says his sprained foot is bad enough that he'll be a gametime decision. :(

He did hurt it in the 2nd quarter last week and obviously played, so it might be okay. But still, it's iffy enough to wait until the game to decide.

BTW, the guy from GAC says he talked to some guys on the defense and they say John Phillips has been a *great* blocker this year.

thats a bummer.

I have to tell you though, I saw so many guys come out of piles sunday and limp around that we are lucky to not have lost anyone for awhile.

I saw both spencer and ware limp back to the huddle.

and I think witten was injured on that first drive, play action throw to him where H.B. Blades tackled him. He got yanked down by his shoes and came up and was shaking his leg.

last year seattle played washington the sunday before thursday and had nothing left for thursday and we beat the hell out of them.....I hope we are not exhausted after a physical game sunday. That is what happened in 03, that panthers game beat the crap out of the team and then the dolphins rolled in and pushed us around.

Let him sit. We don't really need him on Thursday. Martellus and Phillips will be more than enough. The Raiders just suck.

Let Jenkins sit also.

The Raider have pissed on two parades this year. Thinking they are a cake walk is misguided.

Witten will play.....you can bet on it.

That'd be my guess as well, but I didn't even know he was injured. I missed some big chunks of Sunday's game....(thanks Florida!).

The Raiders may suck, but they have a pretty good defense and if there's no Witten, and if Nnamdi takes out Miles, that doesn't leave many offensive weapons.

From Marty B twitter page:

Jupiters_Crunch RT @schwabbin: marty b on witten - He played last year with a broken rib. He'd probably play this one even if he didn't have a foot.

No, he hasn't. He has not looked as good as he has in years past, but he has not looked bad. He is tied for second in receptions by a tight end(54) along with Heath Miller. They are both behind Dallas Clark who is having a monster season and has 65 receptions already.

This is not really related, but a tight end that has looked bad all year is that guy in Miami. I forget his name.

They are not a cake walk and I am glad Dallas is not facing them in Oakland. The Raiders player tougher at home than on the road, but they still can pose a challenge.

:hammer:

Not to mention the talent they have on defense.

They CAN keep the game low scoring, and when that happens, anything is possible.

However, we should beat them by at least ten.

How anyone can casually suggest we sit ANYONE this week is pretty surprising to me.

Our record may say 7-3 but we are desperately trying to find the level of play (on offense anyway) that we'll need for December success. How can you watch last weeks game and think there are any teams that RIGHT NOW, we can beat easily.

Yeah, we should beat Oakland easily. Just like we should beat Washington easily. Show me!

Rest Witten AFTER we get comfortably ahead.

And yeah, I agree with Marty. Witten will play, one way or the other.
