The Raiders may suck, but they have a pretty good defense and if there's no Witten, and if Nnamdi takes out Miles, that doesn't leave many offensive weapons.

The Cowboys are a little banged up.

I think we are going to see Felix Jones and Tashard Choice go off.

I say Felix explodes this week and sends a message to the coaches and to the NFL.

The Raider have pissed on two parades this year. Thinking they are a cake walk is misguided.

Look at their scores when they have to travel on the road.

Not to mention the talent they have on defense.

They CAN keep the game low scoring, and when that happens, anything is possible.

However, we should beat them by at least ten.

What is all this "talent" I keep hearing about on their defense. They have Nnamdi and Seymour. That's it. The rest are overrated trash. Just because they were picked high doesn't mean their good.

It's going to be awfully disgusting. 34-13. Cowboys. Kitna plays the whole 4th quarter.

At Houston.29-6 loss
At Giants. 44-7 loss

They beat the almighty Eagles after the huge loss to the Giants, then got demolished 38-0 the very next week.

They beat the almighty Bengals last week, then they travel to get demolished again by the Cowboys.

They also played both of those games at home and got all kinds of breaks to win those games. It's not like they stomped the Eagles and Bengals.

Wade says his sprained foot is bad enough that he'll be a gametime decision. :(

He did hurt it in the 2nd quarter last week and obviously played, so it might be okay. But still, it's iffy enough to wait until the game to decide.

BTW, the guy from GAC says he talked to some guys on the defense and they say John Phillips has been a *great* blocker this year.

Phillips is the real deal.

I think we will be ok with him and Marty B for the Raiders game.

Get Witten healthy for the Giants game.

Sit him. Let Bennett and Phillips get reps. Witten needs to be 100% for the last 5.

This is one game where I'd feel just fine with Marty B starting and using Phillips as our blocking TE.

That said this is Jason Witten we're talking about. He played last year with a bum ankle, banged up shoulder, screwed up ribs, and all that jazz.

He'll play.

If he sits any of the final six, let it be this one.

Jason Witten will be game-time decision

A sprained left foot could end Jason Witten's consecutive games played streak could come to an end at 101 Thursday against Oakland.

Coach Wade Phillips said Witten will be a game-time decision after he was limited in Tuesday's practice. Witten did not take part in Monday's walkthrough. Witten suffered the injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game against Washington but did not miss a snap.

"As far as I know it's a situation where it's not well enough he could hurt it worse," coach Wade Phillips said.

Witten played a game last year with a broken rib and missed only one game as a rookie after suffering a fractured jaw. Witten leads the Cowboys with 54 catchers for 481 yards and a touchdown. If he can't play, then Martellus Bennett would take over as the lead tight end and John Phillips would be the backup.

In recent weeks the Cowboys have used more three tight-end packages but fullback Deon Anderson could see more action if Witten cannot play.

The short week of preparation could play a part in the decision. If the game was Sunday the chance that Witten could play would be higher. The Cowboys, however, have to weigh the benefits of resting Witten Thursday and factoring in the 10-day break before their next game.

"I don't want to say it's severe but it's something that worries us," Phillips said.

Martellus Bennett ready if needed

Starting would not be a big deal for Martellus Bennett. He's done that 11 times in his first two seasons, but he has yet to be the featured tight end because he has Jason Witten in front of him.

Witten is battling a sprained foot this week, did not take part in Monday's walkthrough and was limited in Tuesday's workout.

"I'm always ready," Bennett said. "I'm usually playing 50 plays out of 65 so that's just 10 extra plays. I'm ready to do whatever it needed."

Bennett had a season-high 43 receiving yards on three catches vs. Washington, but it's not like he's expecting Witten to miss Thursday's game. Witten has missed just one game - his rookie season because of a broken jaw - and played last year with a broken rib.

"I expect Witten to play no matter what because it's Witten," Bennett said. "He played last year with a broken rib. He'd probably play this one even if he didn't have a foot."

Witten a game-time decision
Associated Press

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten might miss Thursday's game against Oakland because of a sprained foot.

"I won't say it's severe, but it's something that worries us about him being able to play this week," Dallas coach Wade Phillips said Tuesday.

Witten has played 107 of a possible 108 games in his career, missing only a single week in his rookie season after having surgery to put three plates in to protect a broken jaw. He's played through all sorts of injuries, and once ran about 30 yards with the ball without his helmet, getting up from the tackle with his nose bloodied.

So his availability isn't a matter of pain tolerance, it's about the chance of further damage. Phillips said it will be a game-time decision and probably would be even if the upcoming game was on Sunday.

"As far as I know, it's a situation where if he's not well enough, he could hurt it more," Phillips said. "That's a big concern."

Witten was hurt in the second quarter of Dallas' 7-6 victory over Washington on Sunday. He continued playing and came up with two catches on the winning drive late in the fourth quarter.

He was held out of a light practice Monday and was limited Tuesday. If he can't go, second-year tight end Martellus Bennett would take his place and rookie John Phillips likely would take up much of Bennett's workload. The third-stringer has played often this year.

"It's good that he has experience," Phillips said. "Martellus Bennett showed up in the last game and had some good plays and some good catches. I think he's gotten his confidence going."

Witten's 54 catches are easily the most on the team. His 481 yards are second-most.

Quarterback Tony Romo has never played without his good pal in the lineup, so it would be a big adjustment for him. Romo also is dealing with a sore back after accidentally getting kneed during the first quarter Sunday.

"I think he's going to be fine," Phillips said. "His is a little different situation than Witten. It's not tissue-related or ligament-related. Whatever he has in his foot, Tony doesn't have in his back."

Just watched the PC and one thing I couldn't understand just listening live was that Wade said it *is* the kind of injury that can get worse if he plays on it before it's ready.

(Edit, well now I see WG just posted that...)

After hearing that, I say don't play him. And I bet he doesn't if it's as bad as they say. We can't take any chance of losing him for the rest of the year.

Ya, it would be pretty foolish to play him. Give him the 14 days to heal.
