Witten-Romo playing time vs Eagles

Just a guess; in a perfect world,

Dak plays first quarter and gets Witten close to the Irvin record for receptions.
Tony plays second quarter and throws the record breaker to Witten.
Tony and Witten walk off field together.
Sanchez plays second half while Dak, Zeke, Romo, and Witten sit.

Witten broke Irvins reception record a long time ago. Irvin had 750 career receptions. Witten is well over 1,000.

This is just getting ridiculous. First some are dreaming of a Dak concussion in the SB... now this.. I can't take it with Romo... Why do I have Romo fatigue and he hasn't played a snap this season? Can someone answer this for me? :facepalm:

Certainly feasible. With him needing only 27 yards and the game not meaning much, they could probably even rig it to happen if they wanted to (and cared).

Witten is 26 yards behind Irvin for most career receiving yards by a Cowboy (11,094 to 11,878). I am pretty sure that is what he means even though he did say receptions.

Yes, he needs live reps. God forbid something happens to our rook phenom, we need Romo to come in and not be cold. He needs some reps. The "Romo fatigue" is coming from some over-zealous fans here that are unrealistic (i.e. benching Dak for Romo), ignore them, my brother.

I still dont understand why Sanchez is even seeing the field. Dak and Romo would both have to get injured for him to play and the odds of that happening are to high to worry about. Even if it did happen Sanchez has many games under his belt for us to worry about him needing playing time.
Have Dak play a series or 2 (if even that) and give Romo the rest of the game

Because the Romo vs. Dak thing has been beaten to death, no matter what angle it's being discussed. 17 weeks now....every. Single. Day.

Dak Prescott will start for Dallas (13-2) and can set the NFL record for wins by a rookie quarterback. Romo and fellow backup? Mark Sanchez are also expected to play.

Earlier in the week, the plan was for Sanchez to get the backup snaps behind Prescott.?All three quarterbacks took snaps in Thursday's practice.

Coach Jason Garrett on Friday would not say whether Romo would play. He said the coaches will meet Friday and finalize the plans Saturday night and Sunday morning in Philadelphia.

Garrett said Romo "absolutely" wants to play.
