WoW addons:
If you’re entering end game stuffs or looking to rather soon you will need to have a few things set up in all likelihood.
1. Ventrillo or Team Speak. www.ventrillo.com
This allows you to hear raid/grp/party members as well as to chat if you have a mic. A 15 dollar headset works great and this uses little overhead as a client.
2. CT_raid_assist http://www.newenemyconquest.com/download/ctraidassist.zip
This will allow you to see mana and health of all raid members. A must for healers but essentially a must for all.
3. Decursive http://www.newenemyconquest.com/download/decursive.zip
This allows you remove debuffs on party/raid members. Druids, Pallies, Priest, Shammies must use this unless you want to get spammed with requests.
4. BuffAhoy http://www.newenemyconquest.com/download/BuffAhoyv1463.zip
This keeps track of buffs and gives you easy access to those buffs without hotkeying everything in your spellbook.
Those are basically standard guild requirements. My guild demands those things for anyone to go to Molten Core or Onyxia et al.
Personally I use many more addons. My pc is an athon 64 3000+ overcloked to 3400+ speeds with 1 gig of ram and a 6800GT vid card so not bleeding edge by any means yet I never have any real issues except when the servers themselves are problematic.
I would also recommend: Gatherer, Atlas, Benecast, Insomniax Recompliation.
Those things can be gotten at http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php
I will try and remember to post a screen shot of my set up sometime from home.
You can see my priest here:
