I
Too early to tell. Claiborne has done nothing and he cost an extra pick though. He's trending towards major bust.
I agree with this. I did think he would be a little bit better of a player, but he sure wasn't worth the trade up and loss of the second round pick.

The concerns about Claiborne coming out are all proving to be true.

-Not an elite athlete
-Not a great tackler

It was ok though, because he's a ballhawk.

Still too early to tell, but Brockers and Bobby Wagner sounds a helluva lot better at the moment.

Escobar and i can say that without really knowing what he'll turn into, Hanna is playing pretty good so Escobar is out 3rd TE, you don't spend 2nd round picks on #3 TEs you just don't

Told you guys Claiborne could/would not tackle. This is going back to last year. Trading up for him instead of adding two young pieces to the team from a deep draft was dumb. Switching to a defense that highlights his weaknesses instead of his strengths makes it even dumber.

Escobar..2nd rd pick...holes everywhere...and this who you pick? where are the folks who were saying that the Cowboys were hiding him in the preseason and going to unleash him once the real games started? lol two games and all i've seen is john phillips 2.0.

I bet you're premature in other areas too.

Way way too early to even say.

I guess this is the nature of the Information Age, where we must render judgement almost immediately.

I voted Escobar only because CB is/was of more importance to the team. Not saying Mo or Gavin is a bust, but the TE pick was not needed, especially at that time. Mo was a need and a gamble, more time will tell if it was the right choice but too early to come to a conclusion from me.

Just when i thought to myself why i need reminding of why i don't visit this place much anymore........ up pops this beauty of a rubbish thread.

Absolute load of crap the arguments to discredit both players and are we not allowed to plan for life after Witten???? Do not even get me started on Claiborne and we desperately needed secondary help and he has been quite good but his body is not 100% yet this season. So many are quick to jump the gun and FFS young players do not come out and just dominate from day dot becoming pro Bowlers in their rookie seasons etc.

The O.P sounds like a rant i would expect to hear from a Philly fan.

Claiborne has been a disappointment, but at least when we drafted him we had a need at that position...Escobar was joke, all the holes that this team has and we draft a TE. This organization is clueless, they truly are and will continue to be...

Escobar is obviously a worse pick. To this day it still boggles my mind. That pick really encapsulates the stupidity of the current Dallas Cowboys brain trust.

Escobar was a wasted pick. He may turn out to be a decent player, but no need for him on this team. Other holes should have been filled with that 2nd round pick.

Claiborne actually had a good game yesterday, not his fault the ref blew that call at the end. That was textbook coverage.

What ever happened to the three year rule?

They are two very talented football players. Neither player is a bust nor will they become one. They are both very young and Mo is making some adjustments to a new defensive scheme while injured. His shoulder has me more concerned, we may want to shut him down for 6 weeks.

Claiborne may not have been a prudent pick on many levels but it is still too early to label him a wasted pick.

As for Escobar, give him more than two games before we label him "wasted."
