Felix jones, chris johnson are two guys that can't do those 3 things. Rice, Stewart, Mendenhall and maybe a couple others fit that profile. We will not draft a guy that is just a 3rd down speed back.

you dont draft late 2nd/3rd rd talents in the 1st round of drafts...you dont get better as a team by doing that

We throw out info like we really know what kind of grade these teams have on the kid. He's labled by someone as a 2nd round guy so everyone on the internet regurgitates the same info over and over. He could just as well be a first round grade as he could a 3rd. Unless we have some real NFL scouts or GM's posting in this thread we really just don't know. (But its fun to speculate)
If they pick him at 28 and feel like they got a guy who was good value at that pick (IE first round grade) then I'll be happy.
Why is he not 1st round talent?ABQcowboyJR;2016968 said:A lot of people like Rice and I am with them. But guys come on, he is not first round talent. If we wanna get him lets trade down. Not sure how people can compare him to other backs that we can get second round and say he is better. Charles would be the better pick up. Never the less I would be happy with either.:starspin :starspin
I'm not saying that he is not talented. If no one else is going to draft him tell mid second. Then he's not first round talent.theogt;2016972 said:Why is he not 1st round talent?

Well I guess that comes down to personal opinion. The draft is filled with backs. Some better some worse. But whose to say he wont fall tell late second?tomson75;2016999 said:Who's to say no one is going to draft him until the second round?

WHAT???!!! I havent read one response, i just had to respond immediately. *** are you talking about?
No! And I dont even think you could find ONE of the 6,324 draft web sites out there that would put his talent level in the top 25. But then again, this is ********, the thread is deseigned to get a response...and it has. Congrats, but it aint gonna happen brotha, aint even a REMOTE possibility.
In the words of Hostile "Trust me...I KNOW." (no, that shouldnt reassure anyone, but jerry's comments about rb depth and the fact that we do employ more than 2 collegiate scouts should)
