Would you be okay with this scenario?

The Giants won a Super Bowl when coming up in that manner.

But as to the Cowboys, they have always had to win and earn the advantages going through the playoffs. Kind of a Cowboys thing...

if your team is good enough you will compete for the number one spot whoever you are

A friend of mine brought this up and it got me to thinking. Would you guys be happy with making the playoffs as a wildcard at 10-6? He said he thinks us and the Giants will both make the playoffs but they will be the division winners and us as the #5 seed. I honestly would still be disappointed, I'm spoiled i want that home playoff game lol.

At the end of regular season, yes, I'd be slightly disappointed.
Less so if the Boys were playing well and were all healthy week 16.

And, of course, all would be forgiven and much more if they at least made the NFC title game.

Just make the playoffs and hope we're playing good football and get a few lucky breaks. We're not good enough to be expecting a 1 or 2 seed imo. 10 games wins this division.

I have to disagree I think we definitely could get the 2 seed behind Carolina or Arizona

Everyone starts the post-season 0-0. I'm fine with getting to go to the dance and taking it from there......
