I would love for him to come back and worry it could be devastating to our progress if he retires....

I love the man myself.

However-this is definitely not the same guy we saw on the East Coast for years. While he made some great personnel moves, he DID make alot of head-scratchers(OL, Cortez, etc-something he would NEVER be stupid enough to drop the ball on).

Absolutely. After the off-season we had last year -- which was all part of Parcells' vision -- I want him to be the one that has an opportunity to coach it to its potential. I'd be highly disappointed if he were to bolt one season after totally re-doing this team's personnel and defensive base.

Yes indeed, the man got us to this point, coming from a dire place when he arrived in Dallas. He should have at least one more shot at getting this team the rest of the way, I think it is clear that many of the pieces are there.

I am gonna remain neutral for the time being. Because right now, I don't know what to think anymore. I like what he has done talent wise. But I am getting sick and tired of the stubborn side of Bill.

2 years now he could of played the back ups in the final games of the season and refused to do so. At what point are we ever going to see what we have in terms of a future QB? Is it Romo? Is it henson? It may not even be one of them. But how are we ever going to know if they don't ever get a chance to play?

I don't want to wait till our QB goes down for an injury too see them. At this point, that has to happen because they don't even get to come in for mop up duty(see washington game).

I am starting to question if Parcells knows what it takes to Motivate a team when needed. Because what I have witnessed over the season has me scratching my head.

We seem to play flat in big games. Especially coming down the stretch. We went to NY and played flat, and we went to Washington and apparently forgot how to play the game. Both division games, both were huge, and both times we came out flat and unprepared.

I am trying to figure out how in the world we go into Carolina and beat them and then come home and lay an egg in front of the home folk. Even though they knew it meant nothing. Parcells should have motivated this team enough to beat the pathetic rams. I mean come on. This is unexceptable in my book.

I want to root for Parcells, I really do. But he leaves me scratching me head so many times that I start to wonder if the game has past him by. Maybe he will come back and prove me wrong. I hope he does, But after 3 years he hasn't been anything other than medicore here in Dalls.

Its almost knee-jerk to say I want him gone. So I cant say just yet.
I dont think it will matter what you or I or Jerry or ANYBODY wants... he may just walk away... that IS typical Bill Parcells.... come on guys we knew what we were getting when we brought him in here....

Get real people. He needs to come back

I'd like to get real OL and have BP come back for his last year, but no longer than that.

We need to go youth at QB and that ain't happenin' with BP in the house.

No.......I never thought I would write this and vote this way, but noo......I am a big Parcells fan, always have been, but as a HC he's seen his best days and they're gone.......As a GM, I'd love to have him but since he built that huge Mansion (as if he really needed a 18k foot mansion) up in Saratoga, methinks he will retire completely from football soon.......

Another thing that bothered me down the stretch, were the rumours about his retiring..Here we are trying to get into the playoffs and all of a sudden Chris Mort comes out with this humongous rumour that gets everybody's attention and how can that not be disturbing or distracting to the players? And then Parcells doesn't refute it when asked about it but continues to sidestep the question leaving the mediots to continue to conjecture about it further causing distractions for the players...........

Sorry, but this man is more than capable of dropping R bombs to the media when it suits his purposes and we know that magical 3 year window is up when Parcells retires like some exhausted diva after a season's performances.

Last night's game was someone or more than someone's last solo, because that was a disgrace!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolute disgrace and heads should role for that one game alone.........Peyton, Zimmer, Sparano, Parcells. Bledsoe, to name a few.......Parcells would head the top of that list if its found he was the one to drop that hint to Mortensen for whatever perverse reason or momentary pleasure or cathartic release (depending on your point of view) it might've given him...

As ticked off as I am about this embarassing situation, I'm like you. I give him one last year.

One more year I think. The talent level has improved overall but the kicking situation (and I include the deep snapper) was a real disaster this year and was a major contributor in us missing the playoffs. We need to see further improvement next year and a run deep into the playoffs. Win now means just that. Otherwise we need to start developing a young quarterback.

It doesn't really matter to me. I don't want him to be fired, but I wouldn't be too upset if he left and we signed another quality NFL head coach. Ideally he stays another year.

My sources tell me there is absolutely no chance that he will be fired.

I don't care. When it really mattered most the Cowboys lost. Some of that is coaching. I think Bill has been good for the Cowboys for the most part but if he's tired and wants to go he needs to go. Bring in somebody else to call the plays too....

I want Parcells back. He has made some mistakes but he has also added a lot of new quality young guys, particularly on defensive, who will be a great foundation for SB runs in near future. But his job isn't done and I'd be very unhappy with him if he leaves now. And for those guys who want a new coach I certainly haven't seen any names on this board who inspire me & bringing back Jimmy Johnson or Weis from ND or Holmgren is a joke; none of these guys are coming here & who is out there. No, if Parcells doesn't come back (I'd be really ticked off) cause the job isn't done.

The worst thing that happened to this team was going 10-6 in Parcells first season. I would have preferred Parcells make a major overhaul right away but I understand from several places I have read that he agreed to Jerry Jones' request that we needed to see what we had in Carter & Hutchinson, et al & Parcells coaching the first year got us to 10-6 but to disaster in 04. So in 05 Parcells did what was necessary but didn't address the positions which have troubled us for a while: FS, RT, Kicker, etc. This offseason we expect Parcells to make a lot of changes on offense. Someone posted here in last week or so that Parcells has said (no mention where Parcells comments came from) that 10-15 players on this team would NOT be back in 06; sounds to me like Parcells know exactly what has to be done in the offseason & I want to to get the job done. If he has us seriously competitive next year for the SB (win our division & at least 1 playoff game) then we on the right track & he can go home to play the horses if he wishes (although I'd really like him to win another SB with us & like to see Bledsoe do that as well).
