Would you like to see the owners meeting televised. I know that a great portion of the meetings would need to be closed to the public, but it would be good to see an open session where some ideas are discussed openly where the fans can see and here whats going on.

Good idea, but personally, I would rather see the Hall of Fame balloting/voting process televised from beginning to end. Oh, yeah. I would love to see that.

I'm not sure how much was actually shown. But I think they showed some of it on NFL Network last year during the Pro Bowl week. Pretty dull but interesting, as well.

Come on. It's hard enough to get agreement among the owners in private discussions. Television would just turn the meetings into media circuses, each owner posing to please his team's fans, no incentive to compromise for agreement, say, on revenue sharing necessary before a collective bargaining agreement is possible.

Yeah, Telivised Congressional/Senate hearings should be good example of that. Each party playing to their voters instead of really saying anything of substance.

You can pretty much gurantee the same thing for Club Owners.

...the wrong request. What would be the biggest eye opener is an open accouting of the entire revenue of each owner and the league's many arms from NFL Properties to the separate media content sources.

This would include separate sourcing from in stadium revenues, associative product marketing and historical content.

I think that would be an incredible education in the reason why the league is so successful and also give us a true understanding of the stakes of this upcoming cap negotiation.
