Right now as the team stands.. Spencer Franchised. Romo not signed or extended.. Would you rather have the draft picks.. With six Picks first four rounds.. 6 Picks last 3 rounds.. Or the Cap room with the six picks we have now.. I rather have the picks..

So, the question is the current team, and a Genie offers us either 12 million in cap room or 5 additional draft picks?

Depends on where the picks are at, I would take the picks if I get an extra 1st 2nd and two extra thirds

i would be wondering about my other 2 wishes from that genie. but given the option i would rather have more picks than more money. the cba allows you to create cap space but not draft picks

The Cowboys can not draft, nor do they know how to spend FA money.

Yes. Carr, Dez, Lee, Smith, Murray, Claiborne and Carter are just terrible.

How much money does Dallas have in FA money? Dez and Lee I will give ya. Smith is looking good, Claiborne doesn't look like a player, you traded up for, but looks promising. Carter and Murray are injury prone.

so give up, then?

I don't know if I would be playing would you rather, with two things the organization is not good at.

I disagree with regard to drafting. We've probably landed a dozen contributors over the last three draft. Nitpick all you want, but that is solid drafting.

You can disagree, all you want.

I thought Tyson, was a solid, good pick. Played well at RT, but then again they usually have the TE on that side to help. Struggled a little bit with LT, I hope he plays well this year. Murray and Carter, when healthy, are good, but they are injury prone. If Mo, was Patrick Peterson, then the trade up, looks fantastic, but he isn't.

As for FA, this team, year after year, robs Peter to pay Paul, and now, we have to cut people for turn base salaries into bonus', which just makes it harder to cut someone down the road.

8 starters on Defense, maybe 10 with SAM and FS and 9 starters on offense were draft picks or UDFA types. That is pretty good in my book. Most of them are young and improving and the older ones have plenty of accolades.

He's better. The only thing Peterson is better at is returning.

Your right. I don't want to extend Romo or Spencer at this time. But the scenario stands. I feel picks are more important. Sure it's a hit or miss situation. But so is free agency

If it's straight up and taking Romo out of the equation; would I rather have 12 picks (6 early, 6 late) vs 12 mil cap space and 6 picks (4 early, 2 late)?
I'd be with you...take the picks (especially assuming that means two 1sts, two 2nds, etc.).

Build through the draft whenever possible in a salary capped market.
