I just want at least one new offensive lineman that is a decent starter. However that is accomplished is fine with me.

Picks. 12 mil under cap is not that much when it comes down to it.

Yuuuuup.

Doesn't make a difference how well somebody is perceived to perform in the draft, the 12 picks is huge.

A lot of them will bust. But, the team should pick up better players because of the law of averages at a cheaper price. And it also keeps veterans on top of their game because the rookies are going to be hungry.

So, the question is the current team, and a Genie offers us either 12 million in cap room or 5 additional draft picks?

I believe that would be 6 additional picks since we gave up a seventh rounder pick for Cook last training camp didn't we??

Your right. I don't want to extend Romo or Spencer at this time. But the scenario stands. I feel picks are more important. Sure it's a hit or miss situation. But so is free agency
in todays nfl you are better financially missing on a pick than a free agent

Yes.
12 picks (6 early, 6 late)
vs
6 picks (4 early, 2 late) plus 12 mil in cap space.

So basically 2 additonal early picks (1st-4th rd) for 12 mil in cap space.
