Would you take Terrell McClain back?

He was a 1T and NT, none of those guy's will get many sacks. He got more pressure than most.

Thornton has never been a 3T, he was a 5T end in the eagles 3-4 that had some experience playing 1T.
Ah! Good stuff. That makes it even stoopider to think we could move him to 1 tech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrell McClain is older now and that probably means he's even more injury prone.

It's not likely there won't be someone available in the draft that couldn't match him.

Durant this past year was terrible. His level of play was not even mediocre.
He's been here for two years. We resigned him two years ago, and he was a big upgrade over Hitchens despite being paid the minimum.

Durant waa bad last year, but that wasnt the topic at hand.

But I'm glad you brought up Durant, it was an example of a McClain like signing working out in our favor.

And that was not exactly a smart move, was it?

If the team isn't looking into adding Richardson, Logan, Lotulelei, or Poe in free agency, then any DT signed likely wouldn't preclude us from taking one.

And DTs have a huge bust rate to be honest, the 3-4 NTs seem to be pretty safe, so guys like Payne and Vea, if available likely will be good players, but the 4-3 DTs are like 50/50.

The Commanders are reportedly considering cutting McClain, only one year after signing him away from the Cowboys in a free agent deal. Do you think it makes sense to bring McClain back to the Cowboys a depth/rotation player?
Good player when healthy but he is rarely healthy.

Just say No.

Collins isn't a good 1T though...
Run defense up the middle was terrible.

Move Collins tail to the 3 and get Vea for the one. No more bad contracts please, put us down with the NY Mets as a team that use to or still give out bad contracts, that Bobby Bonilla is still cashing checks from them and he has been out of baseball for 20 years now.
