Would you trade Leary for a RB?

No. While we definitely have more talented players on our OL, Leary is still the player who will pick a fight with anyone. No one else comes close to his attitude.

No chance.

I would be more than willing to trade for certain running backs, but I'm not giving up Leary and risking the cohesion of my strongest unit for anyone's backup running back.

Absolutely.
Depth
"The line" ... The one that any one of 500 running backs can...... Lol

I think we make a trade for a RB before the season starts... but it will be with our 3rd pick for next year

We gave Collins some work at tackle and he didn't look very good. Not surprising.

The stupidity of those that don't pay attention to the coaches is mind boggling.....

Green has played RT since HS, he was drafted as our swing/future T.... They have stated numerous times their plans on Green.

Yet, people still say Collins is our best shot. Seriously Green is a damn good T.... Watched him I HS & at UF

Green may be but he hasn't touched the field. And the post you are quoting is bashing Collins, nothing to do with green at all

Bashing Collins? It's simply fact, Collins didn't impress when we gave him time at tackle. Everything about Collins screams Guard, the tape, most scouting reports. They say Collins can be moved around, but he looks far more natural at guard. The same with Martin.

I like Collins a lot at guard, I don't at tackle.

You're reading my mind.

Now for double points, can you guess who I think it will be?

No shot. I'd rather draft someone very early next year. Keep this line in tact and let Collins learn from other guys and become better.

Exactly..

Even if you pay for a vet you may not upgrade in talent.

Heck if you want a vet get a talented one like Tre Mason that is still on a rookie contract.

Randle may explode too and this is all irrelevant.

Speaking of Green, I thought I saw him on the field in pads last night. Didn't see him in any drills, but just seeing him in uniform was encouraging to me.

As long as the team doesn't have a reliable backup, it's relevant to me. Randle may be all world, but you still need reliable depth.

Some team will cut our reliable depth if the guys we have don't work out.

It's truly a dime a dozen position.

I disagree. If we're looking through scraps, that's what we'll end up getting.

And by the time they're cutting those scraps, the season is about a week away. I'm not confident in getting scraps up to speed in a week's time to play against a division opponent in prime time.

Garbage in, garbage out.

Id like to see us trade for a rb only because I think that is the key to us winning. And we have learys replacement in collins but however talking about losing out trading a starting OL for a RB. Would be a silly trade at the end of the day. I would be tempted to do it for miller but miami won't be letting him go imo

It'd be a bad trade for us if it was for one of their backups, and a bad trade for them (that they'd never do) if it was for Lynch or Miller.

Leary for Lamar Miller from Miami would be absolutely perfect I believe. They are hurting on o-line, that's why they were trying so hard to sign La'el after the draft. Lamar Miller is a real good young RB who had 1100 yards on 216 carries last year. It would help both teams out, I think that we should listen if the Dolphins show any interest in Leary.
