Would you trade Leary for a RB?

Parnell signed a 5 year 32 million 13 million guaranteed contract with the Jags. A backup OL that couldn't break the starting lineup.. Leary is being underpaid now... Imagine if he has another healthy year.. No way can we afford to resign him .

Heck no. The Cowboys personnel people already have a list in mind. If they feel they need to pull the trigger, they will. Trust in the current staff as they have been outstanding with personnel.

They've been talking about Randle even when Demarco was going off.

Jerry was talking about Randle. Which was essentially Jerry negotiating with DeMarco's agent publicly. When you consider what Jerry was saying last year....and how Garrett used his RBs....it was clear to me that there was a disconnect between how the front office viewed the RB situation...and how Garrett viewed the RB situation. I think Garrett....moreso than the front office...wanted Murray to return. The front office wanted Murray to return on THEIR terms...and felt comfortable that if he did not accept THEIR terms...we would just plug somebody else in. We are about to find out. HOPEFULLY...the front office was right.....

Good point, get something for Leary now because next year we can't afford him and we have Collins.

really depends on the rb you are getting back. Leary for Lamar miller? probably if they aren't confident in randle. leary for christine michael? nope.

I think the Cowboys need depth, not a star RB at this point. If they find they need that, they can go into the draft with that in mind.

With the win now mentality and reality of the team, I would not look to weaken the depth of the offensive line for what would be at best a B level running back. Keeping Romo in one piece is critical to this team's success. Smith and Leary work very well together on the left side, especially in the run game. I would have Collins compete at RT myself, but the more versatility he shows, the better off the team is. Leary is an ascending player who doesn't eat up much cap space - that's the type of guy you look to retain, not trade.
