Would you trade Pickens?

I would actually keep him, and trade LAMB,

But not after the contract.
I would definitely keep

How come everyone wants to get rid of everything good. Then take 4 years to get another guy good, then trade him or let him go. Yall are goofy!!!
Agree, but hypothetically. I would keep him and trade LAMB,

He just got here...and is proving to be a playmaker. You keep those guys around...unlike that fraud in Green Bay.

Lets stop the silliness ok.

3 decades and we re still asking silly questions at the wrong times.

WE LL TRADE ANYONE RIGHT NOW.

We have zero to build around, bad parts and no chemistry. Stop the silliness.

Second, if anyone wants out of dallas FOR ANY reason, you trade them.

Now, again, i dont know how many decades most of you need, seems 3 is not enough, Jerry Jones told you, "hes a no on the SB" so what are you hoarding or wanting talent for when you have an owner who says "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

What is this obsession with draft picks? Trade a proven performer for a possibility?
What is the obsession with over paying players?

If he wants more than he is worth, he must be traded. It is pretty simple.

That's the trend on this board. They would always trade away proven players for draft picks. You haven't noticed. Every good player we have had over the last 20 has been talked about being traded for draft picks.
Zeke should have been traded instead of over paid for prior performance being run into the ground.

Martin should have been traded. Same reason.

if the goal was SB, sure, but its not. you just saw the evidence.

I agree on both fronts or at least let Zeke sweat some and pile up fees and/or get another rb for leverage vs wildly overpaying him a year too early.

Martin could have been just cause the team had an inside viewpoint that he no longer was as good as he used to be. However, I think the since he was drafted by the team and had a HOF career, gives a player of his stature some leeway especially when they knew he'd retire soon.

I had no problem with that since he was so good for so long.

That's silly. You don't trade Pickens. You just traded for him.
Didn't say you trade him I'm just saying what he could bring back in return. Are they willing to allocate another 30 million a year on another receiver? If he keeps playing this way then yes he's going to get that type of deal.

Finally get an elite #2 . Someone who can finally get pressure off Ceedee. lets get rid of him

We can't afford to give leeway. I could not care less if someone plays their entire career for the Cowboys.

Depend on who wants him...but.......
Yes, for a 1st and a 4th.....or 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

I feel you but we're talking about Jerry and his trading skills. He got a 5th for a wr in his prime or close enough to it and gave up a 4th for a wr who was 3rd/4th string. What do you really think he would be able to get for Zac on his last year in the league when he was just coming off an injury the year before. A conditional 7th maybe. I don't know.

Jerry went with what he knows and chose the feel good story for the fans in letting him finish out in DAL.

I would rather trade for less value, than over pay for someone past there prime.

A 7th and money saved vs an injured player. Tough decision.

Again, you're acting like Jerry is going to even use the savings towards anything outside of the current team. He's only interested in FAs who are bottom barrel. What's savings if you never use them to us fans?

Not saying you're not right and I don't totally agree, but this is DAL, not a real organized team with a competent FO. This is what you get. If it's not in the draft or a possible decent trade like Pickens, it ain't happening.
