How do you think Micah got traded? No team is going to give up a premium pick for an impending free agent. Whether it’s here or elsewhere, Pickens will get a big contract in the offseason. That nets us a compensatory pick, I would think at minimum a 4th. Is any team trading their 3rd round pick for 8-10 games of Pickens? Obviously I have no idea, but seems pretty unlikely
Why do our fans always wanna trade our actually good players?Obviously Pickens has hinted at the possibility of being a 1B receiver. Some teams may be convinced that he can be that guy.
I am pleased with Pickens’ play and arguably he is holding the world together right now for the Cowboys. But Tolbert, Turpin and Flournoy also have been making a few plays.
I don’t think that Pickens makes this team a SB contender this season. I also think that he will want a team to back up the Brinks truck for him in the offseason.
Having said all of the above, what draft pick compensation would it take for you to trade away Pickens prior to the trade deadline?
One FRP would definitely do it for me. One second round pick and a contributing depth player would probably do it for me, if the player was at a position of immediate need or borderline starting level player.
I mean he should know. Higgins deal is very possible. The problem with Jethro is, he will plan on signing him, while having no idea what it will take to sign him, because he will not start the conversation.
lets give you all the good players, and you still dont win.Why do our fans always wanna trade our actually good players?
Stop being more a fan of the draft, than a fan of the team.Obviously Pickens has hinted at the possibility of being a 1B receiver. Some teams may be convinced that he can be that guy.

What?Pickens is still playing under his rookie deal. 2025 is the last year of that deal so he will be a UFA when the season is over. Therefore he can't be traded.
Doesn't matter we definitely wont win of we get rid of all the good players. When will you understand yoi need some good playerslets give you all the good players, and you still dont win.
how many decades do you need before you understand?
He can be tagged and or traded before the deadline.Pickens is still playing under his rookie deal. 2025 is the last year of that deal so he will be a UFA when the season is over. Therefore he can't be traded.
I agree. Keep every legit player we have. They signed the qb to a huge contract that they think aligns with his prime years. He’s here for 2 or 3 years. Let’s do some of those strategic salary cap contracts and get some legit defensive players (maybe coaches too) here for the next 2 years and take our best shot. I would try to come out of this 2 or 3 year window with a solid line and a good wr for our new qb if we fail.I'm not trading Pickens and would do everything in my power to resign the guy. Pickens is someone that D coordinators account for at all times on the field. Size, Hands and a Dawg on the field who can bring in those tough contested passes. You pair him with CD and your WR core is complete. It's not a WR going into draft that I would take over Pickens and would love to be convinced if so?
First 4 picks in next year's draft should be LB, DT, S, and DE (not in this order) fill in depth positions during the back end of the draft and free agency.
needing more than 30 years, when will you understand Jerry and the Cowboys are not in it for the SB?Doesn't matter we definitely wont win of we get rid of all the good players. When will you understand yoi need some good players
Yep, we've got to get away from this 'Jerry Think'.....can I achieve the same or similar on a cheaper budget. Make a football (not financial) decision. If it continues to work extend Pickens, as you say, he compliments CeeDee and provides us a punch, Similarly, Javonte appears to fit in. The only possible Offensive question mark MAYBE Tackle ......park that side of the ball and move onto upgrading the Defense.I'm not trading Pickens and would do everything in my power to resign the guy.
