Would you want Albert Haynesworth as a Cowboy?

What he did today was pretty disgusting. Nonetheless, he seemed to be pretty contrite afterwards.

My question is this: would your opinion of him change if HE were a a Cowboy next spring? (I believe he is a FA at the end of this year).

Jones had better not bring this guy in after what he did to Gurode. If signing TO was considered controversial, what would you call signing Haynesworth?

I thought it was an interesting question myself.......for about 10 seconds. :D

Why would a team want to waste money on this guy? Another incident like today and he may be in jail.

I agree the strength some of these guys have in their legs is unreal. To have that kind of power being forced down on your head without a helmet could kill a person not to mention loss of sight, brain damage and the fact he is going to have a scar across is face the rest of his life thanks to this idiot.

Gurode got off with the lesser of what could of happened, and who knows what else that kick may have done that we don't know about yet. I read that he has blurry vision now too from the article off ESPN.

My opinion wouldn't change.

But you can be sure ALOT of folks here would just say as long as he behaves for us, it'd be fine.

This isn't the first time he's done something like this. Coming out of college (same year as Roy), there were questions surrounding his character, and he's had problems since he's been in the league.

He's a grade A thug, and considering the Cowboys are trying to keep a clean image, he has no place on this team, no matter how talented he is.

Like it matters, the Commanders will sign him before we ever get the chance to. :laugh2:

Wasn't the same question asked about Owens, over and over and over again? After the star incident, it seemed incredulous that Owens would EVER end up a Cowboy.

I thought it was pretty interesting that Parcells didn't have any comment about the incident. I'm sure there are a myriad of interpretations about his silence on this subject, but I wonder if one of them may be that perhaps Parcells did not want to say anything negative about a potential FA pickup for the 'boys? I think we all know that Parcells was privately disgusted with the incident and will let the team know so, especially Gurode. But Parcells also had public praise for Haynesworth's play, going so far as to say that our running game seemed to pick up AFTER Haynesworth was ejected.

If nothing else, this is something to think about.

Owens has never tried to kill someone ..... Owens has a big mouth ..... if you cannot see the difference you must be one of the agenda boys.

You can just keep your personal judgments to yourself! You don't know me (nor are you personally acquainted enough with my posts) to classify me as an "agenda" boy. If you read my post, you would have noticed that I disdain Haynesworth's actions, and I can only thank God that Gurode was not more seriously injured.

Basically, my question was "yes" or "no". What's difficult to understand about that?

I said if you cannot see the difference between T.O. and Haynesworth you must be one of them ..... you are the one who started comparing the two.

TO's Star incident doesn't hold a candle to a player committing an assault on another player.

The player playing well means nothing if he can't control his actions any better than he showed today.

The question could very easily become moot if he's suspended before he becomes a FA.

I agree he was sincerely remorseful and contrite. Wouldn't want him on the Cowboys, though, no, hell no because what he did was gawdawful.
