Yes/No?

"You know the Patriots don't really pay, so when I got my second contract from them that was a blessing in disguise. I understand the business. I don't think they're going to re-sign me back. I'm not mad. I'm not bitter. It's just the way things are in this NFL, so like I said after this year I'll be looking for a new team. I think so. . . .

"That's not a knock on them. That's just how they run their organization," Moss added. "That's how it is. Put it like this, I guess that before I came there the philosophy was believing in their system. I think that's where they really don't pay guys because they have so much faith in their system. I didn't mean it as a knock against the organization. They just don't pay. If as an individual I'm not really in their future plans I would like to go elsewhere."

I know that we will have alot of money tied up in WR's so most will say no because of that but if we for some reason don't bring back Williams next year would you want him?

wanted to throw it out there and hear what people had to say.

If yes, what would you be willing to give up?

y not.....

my guess is that most ppl would point to him not trying somtimes and because of the last failed experiment i.e. lockeroom/qb chemistry + age and pricetag.

personally i would say yes, but i know that will be in the minority

Haha wishful thinking, but we all know the Patriots would be about the last team to that.

Moss Assuming Patriots Will Let Him Walk After Next Season

Randy Moss(notes) doesn’t expect to be in New England past 2010.

Speaking to reporters at a charity softball game in Jupiter, Fla., Moss said he believes the Patriots will let him go because of financial considerations. The Globe reports Moss is scheduled to make $6.4 million in base salary next season, in the final year of a three-year, $27 million contract.

"I understand the beast, the nature of it. I think that just with what I think and what I know I don’t think they’re going to re-sign me back. So, after this season if there is not a lockout I’ll be looking for a new team," the Boston Globe quoted Moss as saying. "I got a lot of respect for the Patriots and what they did for me and my family. So, the only thing I can do is just play this year out and see what my future holds after that."

Moss, 33, caught 83 passes for 1,264 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He also became the focus of a controversy in December. Several Panthers defensive players told the Globe’s Albert Breer that they thought Moss "shut it down" during New England’s win over Carolina.

Quarterback Tom Brady(notes) quickly came to Moss’ defense, and Moss caught four TD passes in the final three weeks of the regular season.

I met his cousin back when he was in the Draft. He said Randy was always a Cowboys fan and he was sure the Cowboys were going to take him.

Randy has always killed us and I think that is part of it.

That said, no, I would rather move forward.

If the Pats want to swap Roy for Randy, I would take that in a heartbeat. Moss, even in his ripe old age, is the better playmaker. Besides, Dallas has a tradition of bringing in the great ones towards the ends of their careers, with pretty good results:

Herb Adderly
Lance Alworth
Jackie Smith
Mike Ditka
Terrell Owens

If we can get Moss along with Miles and Roy that would be amazing.

Miles = Main guy

Roy = Big target for redzone and can help move the chains

Moss = Deep threat we desperately need

Then you have KO, Crayton, etc we'll have the best WR core.

Hopefully we wouldn't have to pay him a crapton of money because it definitely won't be highway robbery like New England giving up a 6th for him.

Also for those who say we need to get younger i don't really get it, Moss is still a top 5 receiver and if we can get him for 1-2 years while making a run at the playoffs it'd be a no brainer. If Miles gets bitten by the injury bug again we'd really regret not doing something like this.

Moss, Austin, Williams would be unstoppable.

Austin = The real-deal; the shining light at WR

William's = The little engine that tries but just can't.

Moss = The little engine that can but just doesn't try.

Yeah, let's surround Austin with all that great talent. Maybe we can re-sign T.O. as the #4 WR once Buffalo cuts him.

Championship!
