Wouldn't be upset if Dallas signs these 3?

Henry Melton, Antonio Cromartie and Hakeem Nicks.

2 of 3 guys won't command big contracts and will probably sign for 1 or 2 year deals. To me, Cromartie is a versatile guy who you can plug in at FS or rotate in at CB.

Yeah yeah I know, this ain't Madden.

Don't need Nicks. That money would be better spent on defense. We have some good young receivers and the draft and UDFA's to fill that need.

That would be a hell of an offseason honestly but I don't know how Cromartie fits with us having to start Carr and Claiborne and Scandrick as the 2nd or 3rd CB but he's a huge upgrade. I'd rather have Wooten like mentioned above since that line is in bad shape.

Nicks is a stud when healthy, kind of risky but a one year deal cheap so he can get paid later would be nice.

I've been all in on Melton, much needed.

But there's no way with 7 mil in cap space unless they are very cheap and we backload deals which is a bad idea usually.

Anyone know how much cap space do we have after the recent signings?

I like Melton or even taking a chance on a guy like Vance Walker for depth and rotation.

Wootton would def be on the radar, along with Matt Shaughnessey.

Didn't know Matt shaughnessey was a free agent, dude had upside in Oakland but was lost in that crapheap, I'd take Ayers before Wooten.

I think Matt is a solid player and could contribute here in a rotation with high upside. Should be cheap and not a bad age. I wanted to grab him last offseason, but he entered that black hole, where talent seems to just get sucked in, become ineffective, and never escape.

If the Cowboys have three signings left, give me Henry Melton, Robert Ayers, and Vance Walker. In fact, give me any available defensive lineman that can play.

Nicks is a nice player, but it doesn't appear like we're going for 'win now'-- as in this year, so it wouldn't make a lot of sense to sign him, especially to the 1 year prove it deal I've seen suggested a couple of times.

Not to mention he would stunt Williams' growth and that's no good. We need guys like Williams to produce on their rookie contract if we want to be competitive.

Let's sign "insert free agent name" to vet's minimum.

Yeah, they're always running to Dallas to play for vet's minimum.
