Giants | Agent says team still trying to re-sign T. Carter
Tue, 14 Mar 2006 05:13:45 -0800

The New York Daily News reports agent Pat Dye Jr. said the New York Giants are still trying to re-sign free agent WR Tim Carter (Giants).

This is a guy who can be had reasonable and would be a nice role player. Vertical threat.

This guy sucks. He is always injured and has the hands of Quincy Morgan.

49ers signed Antonio Bryant.

I think Norv Turner turns him into a good WR. If the 9ers can solidify their QB and running game, AB will have a big year.

Good luck.

Funny - if he sucks why are Giants trying to resign him?
Injuries - yes
Dude is a burner and would add a threat for Bledstud. We are talking about competing for a 3rd and 4th WR job here. Wreaks of David Patton in 2000 - Giant WR that "sucks" yet was a critical role player for Pats Dynasty run.

Interview Conducted by BigBlueInteractive.com Reporter WalterB

BBI: Your 40 times during college and after college have been reported anywhere from 4.5 to 4.3. What did you do to decrease your 40 times?

Tim Carter: I never ran a 40 at 4.5. I never ran above a 4.4. When I was in high school I went to the Reebok combine, after my junior year, and I ran a 4.31. Which was the fastest time in the state at that time. When I reported to Albany we ran 40's the first day we got here and I ran a 4.37 on grass. My highest ever was a 4.4 and I was not even healthy when I ran that. For the NFL combine I ran a 4.32, and I believe in my junior year I ran a 4.28.
